Please write in COMPLETE SENTENCES. Use metric measurement only. Follow directions as explained orally.

1- Problem – What QUESTION are you


investigating?
Please write in the form of a
question.

2- Hypothesis – What do you think will


happen? Please write in an “If…
then…because” format. This is only a
prediction of what you think may
occur.

3- Materials – List (number) the


supplies needed to conduct
experiment. Include qualities and
mass of objects (where needed).

4- Procedures – List (number) the steps


followed to complete the
experiment. Be extremely specific in
your list. Everything you do is
important to note. Anyone should be
able to take your steps and
reproduce the experiment exactly.
5- Data/Organization/Interpretation.
You must use a graph or chart (any
type) and (where needed)
illustration. You may use extra paper
if required. Please make sure
graphs/charts have titles and axis
information.
6- Summary/Conclusion – Restate your
hypothesis and answer based on
your results and data. Explain the
results using science vocabulary. One
paragraph minimum.
7- Further questions – Good scientists
always think of something else
they’d like to try. Think of four ways
you could/would like to
change/modify/revise this
experiment. Be creative
