Using Puzzle Wiz, you can create many different types of puzzles. Puzzle Wiz
costs $19.99 monthly, but you can cancel anytime, and they offer a 3-day free
trial. Below, we will go through the crossword, sudoku, word search, and maze
puzzles.

You must get the PRO account for $19.99.

Step 1: Choose a specific theme for your activity book

● For example, Halloween Activity Puzzles for Adults
● This could be an activity book with a variety of different puzzles inside, or it
could include just one type of puzzle like word searches, crosswords, Sudoku,
mazes, trivia, etc.
● If needed, ask ChatGPT to come up with activity book ideas for you

Step 2: Come up with a title for your activity book

● For example - Spooky Halloween Puzzles: Large Print Puzzle Book for Adults
Featuring Crosswords, Sudoku, and Word Searches

Step 3: Create a cover for your activity book

● Canva is an easy-to-use design tool that has hundreds of free activity cover
templates to choose from.
● You will need to create an account if you haven’t already
● You can also create graphics for your cover using Midjourney

Step 4: Come up with the puzzles for your activity book

Remember: Your book could include a variety of different puzzles inside, or it could
include just one type of puzzle like word searches, crosswords, Sudoku, mazes,
trivia, etc.

Step 5: Create your puzzles

Pasting into template

Crossword Puzzle
Step 1: Watch the Crossword Tutorial

Step 2: Use ChatGPT to create the clues and answers (the more the better):
● Prompt: Please create a list of [number] clues and answers for a [theme]
crossword puzzle for [age group]. Don’t use hyphenated words. The list of
answers first, followed by clues. Please ensure that these words will fit
together in a crossword puzzle.
● Example: Please create a list of 100 answers and clues for a Halloween
crossword puzzle for adults. Don’t use hyphenated words. The list of answers
first, followed by clues. Please ensure that these words will fit together in a
crossword puzzle.

Step 3: Create a .csv file with your clues and answers

● Using Google Sheets or an Excel spreadsheet, copy and paste the clues into
one column and the answers into another.

Step 4: Export, and upload your file to Puzzle Wiz

● Export Google sheet as a .csv file or save Excel spreadsheet as a .csv file.
● Upload into Puzzle Wiz (click select file)

Step 5: Make your selections

● Choose the font, difficulty, page size, and type
● Be sure to uncheck “Use random words/sentences if my file's not
meeting the requirements.”

Step 6: Download, open PDF, take screenshots, and paste it into the template.
● Download the puzzle
● Open the PDF and take a screenshot of the crossword puzzle, followed by
“across first” and then “down.”
● Copy and paste into the template
● Paste the answer in the solution section on your template.
● Note: Not all words will be selected for the puzzle. For another set of
clues, select the ones that were used and go back to ChatGPT. Paste the
clues that were used and say, “These were the ones that were used; can
you create 100 more without these ones.” You may need to ask it to use
one-word answers and shorter clues.

Step 2: Use ChatGPT to create a list of 20 words related to your theme

● Prompt: Please create a list of 20 words related to [theme] for an [age group]

● Paste those into Google Sheets or Excel and save them as a .csv file.

 Final Steps

Step 1: Write a short introduction and conclusion chapter for the book using
ChatGPT (this can be done before or after creating your puzzles, up to you)
● ChatGPT introduction prompt - Write me a 500 word introduction chapter for
an activity book/crossword book titled [title of your book]
● ChatGPT conclusion prompt - Write me a 200 word conclusion chapter for
activity book/crossword book titled [title of your book]
● Edit the chapters as needed
● See the introduction and conclusion chapter examples included in the
template which were written by ChatGPT and then slightly edited

Step 2: Fill out the remaining details throughout the book

● Add title, subtitle and author name to the title page
● Copyright page (change the author name at the top of the page)
● Add references
● Change font and font size to match the theme
● Add page numbers
● Table of contents (section name + page number)

Step 3: Download your book as a PDF

Step 4: Write a book description for your activity book with ChatGPT
ChatGPT book description prompt - Write a compelling and engaging Amazon
description for a book titled [book title]. Include a compelling hook at the start to draw
potential customers in and also several bullet-points of the key benefits of the book,
before finishing with a strong call to action to buy the book today.
● Edit the description accordingly so that it accurately reflects your book

Create the paperback cover for your book

● Or hire someone from Fiverr to create it for you for $10

Step 6:

Publish your book on Amazon!

● Create an account with KDP to publish
● Gathering reviews for your book is critical to generating consistent sales
