2. READING TIME! Let’s read the following text. Can you recognize some of the time
37
expressions?
Hi! I am Olivia, and my best friend is Iris. We are always
together. We are 18 years old and we live in the same city.
Actually, we live in the same building, so we usually go for
walks together. We go to the gym three times a week and
we often like to drink coffee after that. We hardly ever
spend a lot of time apart! When we are at work, we usually
text each other all the time. Iris never forgets to ask me
about my day and she is always there for me!
We usually spend time together during the weekends,
too. For example, we like having lunch on Sundays twice a month.
On Saturday afternoon, I usually like to stay at home and read books,
but Iris loves going shopping. I don’t like it, so I never go with her.
We usually spend our Saturday nights together. We often like to stay
at home, watch movies and eat pizza, but sometimes we get
together with other friends and we go out for drinks.
Iris has a really cool hobby: she loves photography! She
sometimes asks me to go with her to the park to take pictures of
trees and buildings.
My hobby is writing songs. I think I’m really good at it! And, of course, Iris is always the first person
to listen to them.
