This is my first stab at making a player guide. I've been looking for a good player guide for Terraforming Mars but haven't found any I'm really fond of so I decided to make
my own.

Let me know what you think or if you find any errors.

2 pages (can be printed front & back)

Gonna play our first ever game of this tonight - will use your player aid with it; that'll be a good test

Looks great. On the Ocean tile description, the third sentence: place should be placed. I think.

Good job.
At page 2 Tag Icons, the first one must be 'Building'

I wish I had this last weekend.

The Red Border icons should have a note saying they are optional. And unlike normal icons, they are "pay what you can" rather than "if you can't pay it, you can't play it."

This is really very very good.

Reading the rule book i thought "This could be explained in a single page... I should make one" but first i googled and found your sheet, and its great! Really everything
you need and beautifully done!

Been playing the game awhile. Went through looking for a good guide to help the teach. This is a great succinct and visually appealing doc, nice work! For guides in the
future, I would consider making a print friendly version where maybe only the icons are colored without the big background imagery.

Awesome aid for teaching the game.

Nope, should be "place" since it describes, in this usage, an action you are about to do.

Resource penalties on cards can be a bit tricky.

resource vs production
red-outlined vs non-outlined
But it's not really all that hard once you understand some basic principles.

My understanding is that:
RESOURCE LOSSES
If a card, like an asteroid strike, has a red-outlined loss of 2 plants and the targeted opponent has 0 plants they lose 0, if they have 1 they lose 1, if they have 2 they lose 2,
if they have more than 2 they lose 2. You could choose to ignore the penalty, hoping that the opponent spared will place the greenery which allows you to raise the O2
level to 8 and get an additional temperature bump. You can play the card no matter which.
If a card, like moss, has a non-outlined loss of 1 plant YOU must lose 1 plant. If you don't have a plant to lose you can't play the card.

PRODUCTION LOSSES
Red-outlined production losses are MANDATORY. If your opponents cannot pay the penalty in full but you can then you must pay the penalty.
Non-outlined production losses are MANDATORY and must be paid by you.
If the penalty cannot be paid in full, you cannot play the card.
If you want to play an animal card, like fish, with a red-outlined brown plant icon someone must give up 1 plant production; but if you want to play livestock (non-outlined
brown plant icon) YOU must give up 1 plant production.

I love your sheet! Will you eventually update/expand it to include the expansions?
