Description
The SWTERRA application allows processes on Raypa devices to be viewed,
documented, and printed.
It also makes it possible to monitor processes as they are executed in real time.
Installation
Minimum requirements:
- Windows Operating System: 2000, XP, Vista, or 7.
- Minimum display resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels.
The application is installed by copying the .exe. file from the USB drive to the
computer.
Connection
Communication between the PC and the device is made via Ethernet cable with
and Ethernet-USB adapter, both supplied with the device.
On one side, connect the cable to the Ethernet port. On the other side, connect
the cable with Ethernet-USB adapter to the USB port of the PC.
Install the adapter drivers by running Setup.exe file from the CD supplied with
the cable set.
PC network settings
To enable the connection between the PC and the device, the PC network
setting have to be changed.
Open “network and sharing center” in the “Control Panel”

Change adapter settings:
Access to the new “Local Area Connection”. In case there are several and it is
not possible to identify the new one, it is recommended to make the cable
connection when this screen is open in order to see the appearance of the new
network.

Start-up of the SWTERRA application
After executing the program, the following screen will appear:
Enter the following values:
User: USER
Password: 12345678
The following screen will immediately appear:
The first time that the application is run, when communication has not yet been

Working screens
The application’s main screen displays all the information about the process:
The lower status bar displays the status of the connection on the left:
- Green: The communication connection status is good.
- Yellow: There are communication issues.
- Red: There is no communication connection.
If the LED is not green, it is necessary to check if a problem exists, whether in
the settings of the SWTERRA, in the wiring, or in the equipment.
On the right side of the lower panel, the Raypa logo is displayed, along with the
device’s model and series number.
Information panel:
The panel on the left on the main screen displays information about the process
that is being recorded (fig. 1) or viewed (fig. 2). For instances in which it is
recording, the background will be blue, with a light brown colour indicating that a
process is being viewed. Information about the device and the values of the
program selected are displayed.
For instances where processes are being viewed in real time, this panel
includes the temperature (or temperatures, for models with two probes) and the
pressure (for models that are fitted with a pressure sensor) values last

recorded. The phase of the cycle and the RUN indicator will also be displayed,
depending on whether or not the process is currently being executed.

The panel on the right displays all the indications that can be viewed. This panel
can be used to see the value of an indicator at a particular point and even
choose to show or hide that indicator.
The upper part of this panel displays the time (the value of the X axis).
The lower part displays a bar to control the time scales.
At each end, the date and time of the beginning and end of the graph view is
displayed. These values can be modified with the accompanying arrows.

In the centre, there are four adjustment control buttons:
- 2h: change the scale to two hours (adjustable with the arrows alongside).
- 1m: change the scale to one minute (adjustable with the arrows
alongside).
- Full X: changes the time base so that all the data from the process can
be visualised.
- Full Y: changes the range of the temperature and pressure variables (in
models that are fitted with a pressure sensor) so that all the data from the
process can be visualised.
Zoom operations:
Another way of adjusting the viewing range of the graph is to click inside the
graph, drawing a box over the area that you wish to view. Returning to the
previous situation of viewing the whole graph can be done in two ways: by
drawing a window in the opposite direction or by clicking the buttons Full X and
Full Y.
The ‘Auto’ option will automatically adjust the scales as the process is being
executed.
Upper toolbar

For viewing, it can open .log and .csv files by clicking the ‘Open file’ button
By searching in the directory set in the ‘Settings’ section, .log files that have

A screen will then be displayed confirming that the files contained in the .DAT
file are to be imported to the computer.
When the .DAT file has been imported, the application will generate a folder
titled OUTPUT.
In order to view the files, click the ‘Open file’ button and search in the
OUTPUT folder in the directory chosen on the computer.
The format of the files must be changed by selecting .csv.
All the imported files will then be displayed in order according to their date of
import.
The names of the files indicate: year, month, day, hour - series number.
When the file is opened, the graph will be displayed with the print report.
In order to access the graph, the print report window must first be closed.
