VIII. COURSE DESCRIPTION
At the end of the course, learners will develop a web-based or mobile application with a modern graphical user interface, incorporating
the standards and techniques of human-computer interaction. This course is essential in the field of computer science, as it emphasizes
designing interactions between human activities and computational systems and creating interfaces that facilitate these interactions. The
interaction between users and computational artifacts occurs at an interface that includes both software and hardware components. As a
result, interface design plays a crucial role in the software life cycle and should be addressed early in the development process; the design
and implementation of core functionality can significantly influence the user interface, for better or worse. Consequently, human-computer
interaction equips students with the skills to innovate in designing graphical user interfaces throughout system development.
This course delves into the foundations of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), covering essential topics such as designing intuitive and
effective user interfaces, programming interactive systems, and applying user-centered design principles. Students will gain hands-on
experience in developing interactive applications and learn methods for testing and evaluating user experiences. Additionally, the course will
keep students informed about emerging interactive technologies, ensuring they stay current with the latest innovations in the field.

C. Project
Learners enrolled in the course will create software applications in collaboration in their Thesis 2 (CS 4121) in which the students are
already required to create a working system in the said subject. However, the learners will present the Graphical User Interface of it
because the main concern of this course is the GUI how humans interact with the system.
● They will conduct usability testing of their GUI
● They will report the result of the evaluation of it.
