Prayer of the Youth
“
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift
of Your Holy Word, the Bible. It is a lamp unto my feet and a
light unto my path, guiding me through the complexities and
challenges of life. I lift up to You, especially, the youth of
our world. In an age filled with distractions and conflicting
messages, I pray that Your Word may be a source of
strength, wisdom, and clarity for us.
“
Lord Jesus, You who are the Word made flesh, we ask that
You draw my heart and the hearts of my peers to the
Scriptures. May we encounter Your love and mercy within its
pages and find in Your teachings a foundation upon which
to build our lives. As we navigate the uncertainties of
adolescence and early adulthood, may the stories of faith,
courage, and perseverance inspire us to live according to
Your will.
“
Holy Spirit, breath of God, we pray for a fresh outpouring of
Your presence upon the youth. Enlighten our minds and
inflame our hearts with a deep love for the Bible. Help us to
understand and apply its truths in our daily lives. May we
see the Bible not merely as an ancient text, but as a living
and active source of divine wisdom that speaks to our
current struggles and aspirations.
“
We pray, Lord, that You raise up among us, men and
women of deep faith who are passionate about spreading
the Good News. Grant us the courage to stand firm in our
convictions and to be witnesses of Your love and truth in our
schools, communities, and social circles. May we be like
the prophets of old, boldly proclaiming Your Word and living
lives that reflect Your goodness and grace.
“
Bless the parents, teachers, and mentors who guide us.
Give them the wisdom and patience to nurture a love for
Scripture in our hearts. May their own lives be a testament
to the transformative power of Your Word.
“
Father, we entrust the youth to Your loving care. Protect us
from the snares of the evil one and from all that seeks to
lead us away from You. May the Bible be our constant
companion, a source of comfort in times of sorrow, and a
beacon of hope in times of despair.
We ask this through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin
Mary, who pondered Your Word in her heart, and through
the merits of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
