Simulation Task 2

Installation Task
Now it’s time to get hands-on experience with ROS2 and
simulation! Your task is to install a virtual machine and
ROS2 on your PC. Here are the steps to follow:

Setting up a virtual machine:


1. Install Virtual Box from here.
2. Follow the steps provided in the docs… you can also refer to the YouTube
video link in the reference links if you have any queries or are stuck at
any step.
3. Now install the Ubuntu iso file on your virtual machine. You can follow this
to help set it up.
4. Once the installation is complete, restart the virtual machine and log
in with the user account you created during the installation process.

Congratulations! You have successfully installed Ubuntu 22.04 on a virtual


machine.

Installing ROS2 humble:


1. You can find installation instructions for Ubuntu 22.04 on the ROS2
Humble wiki:

2. You can also follow this if you have any issues.
Task 2
You are required to write the LSD of your respective
Roll Numbers.

Explore ROS2 on your own as much as you can… you


can include them in your submission.

NOTE:
You are required to use only publisher and subscriber nodes
method and not advised to follow other methods

SUBMISSION:
Make a G-Drive link Folder name-[Spider_Simulations_RollNo]
Inside create a folder named Task-2-Inside that

For PS-Make a folder name-[Sim2-PS] consists of


1.A text file name-[Sim2-PS] consisting of the code
2.Upload the video as an unlisted YouTube video name-
[Sim2-PS-RollNumber] either by a screen recorder
Video of the Simulation [recommended] or you can take
via mobile phone (less than 30 seconds).

If you encounter any issues during the


installation task, refer to the
instructions and resources provided.
Use Google extensively… Google every
unknown phrase or error you come up
with. You can also reach out to us for
assistance.
