Skills Laboratory Activity

SELF REFLECTION ACTIVITY


General Objective: The activity will enable the student to develop deeper awareness and
understanding of themselves.

Specific Objectives:

1. Rediscover self- identify through the activity.


2. Share freely one’s reflections/ insights to group mates.
3. Express a more sense of well being and appreciation of self.

Materials: Prepare short bond paper, pencil and colored pencil

Procedure: Draw self in a short coupon bond following the directions given below.
Individual seat work for one (1) hour.

1. HEAD - draw symbol of your unique God-given talents and abilities.


2. EYEBROW- using your favorite color, draw the angle which your eyebrows usually form.
3. RIGHT EYE-draw a symbol representing how you see yourself now.
4. LEFT EYE- draw a symbol representing how you see yourself five (5) years from now.
5. NOSE- write what you like to smell.
6. LIPS- write your motto and philosophy in life.
7. RIGHT EAR- write the complement you want to hear about.
8. LEFT EAR- write the news you would not like to hear about.
9. NECK- draw a symbol representing a block in achieving your independence.
10. R. SHOULDER- draw a symbol to represent the person/s who feels responsible for you.
11. L. SHOULDER- draw a symbol to represent the responsibilities you have at present that
hinder your freedom to find yourself.
12. BREAST- draw a symbol to represent the person/s or thing/s which have a soft spot in
your heart.
13. RIGHT HAND- draw a symbol to represent your skill/s and strength/s.
14. LEFT HAND- draw a symbol to represent your weakness.
15. WAISTLINE- write a phrase describing your type of food.
16. HIPS- draw a symbol representing your weapon in bumping off change in life.
17. THIGHS and LEGS- write the word/s or phrase/s to describe what strengthens you in life.
18. KNEES- draw a symbol representing the lowest point in your life.
19. FEET- write your ways of coping.
20. BELOW FEET- write the name of person/s who help or support you in time of trouble/s.
