Locate three passages from this section of the reading that your group

should reread, think about, and discuss

● Choose passages that are significant in some way; the idea is to

help people notice and remember a section of text that is

interesting, powerful, funny, puzzling, etc.

● Choose a variety of passages; some suggestions:

○ Surprising, startling

○ Confusing (do you ‘get’ this passage?)

○ Descriptive writing: imagery, figurative language, idioms

○ Important (foreshadowing, revealing)

○ Controversial (elicits differing opinions)
