Suggested Books
Lectures will be based on materials from the following references. We will follow the first text book
mostly.

McGraw Hill Education.
2. S. Nahmias and T. L. Olsen, Production and Operations Analysis, Waveland Press.
3. W. J. Hopp and M. L. Spearman, Factory Physics, Waveland Press.
Attendance
Attendance will not be taken. Still, the students are required to attend the classes. There might
be a few unannounced assessments/tests in the lectures.
Lectures
First 5 minutes of every lecture will be devoted to address doubts/queries from the previous session.
Students will not be allowed to enter the class after 5 minutes of the start of lecture.
Exams
There will be 2-3 quizzes, a mid-semester exam, an end-semester exam. If a student is unavailable
because of an exigency, a makeup exam will be conducted. The student should inform me directly
or through someone before the exam.
Grading
The following is the breakup of final scores
Class Participation 10%
Quiz 20%
Mid-semester Exam 30%
Final Exam 40%
Audit
Grade ‘CC’ or higher is required to successfully audit the course.
