'Indian Knowledge Tradition'...called IKS in English. Actually the English of India should also be
India, so it is more appropriate to call it Bharaliya Knowledge Systems in English. The word is
unfamiliar to all, there are questions in the mind that the Indian knowledge tradition is now going
to be taught to the students, but what is it?
'Indian knowledge tradition'...there are three words. 'Indian', 'knowledge' and 'tradition'...what is
Indian...? The knowledge which was born in India and which is of 'Indian' type! But knowledge is
universal. Then what is the meaning of Indian? So far the form of education in our country is
western, which can be called 'European global'. What the people of Europe found useful,
creditable, is the truth for human society in the whole world. Due to the colonial era, a feeling
has been created in our country (a feeling was deliberately created) that the knowledge that was
discovered by the scientists of England, Germany, and America is the knowledge that was
written there. Created and discovered...! And to be educated means to speak, look and think
'like them'... unfortunately this is how the situation has taken shape. An Indian person in
traditional dress who speaks Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil etc. who is not a 'passout' from
Macaulay's system of education is an illiterate person.
Secondly, even the scholars of the whole world today accept that 'Indian culture' or 'Hindu
culture' is at least five thousand years old, even those who deny the essence of India have to
accept it now, because there is so much evidence. Which makes the Indian culture older than all
the cultures existing at the present time. Another question is that if 'knowledge-science' in India
came from contact with the West and Central Asia, on what basis would this civilization, culture,
have survived for thousands of years before that, without a definite social theory, political
system, and scientific approach, could any civilization survive for so many thousands of years?
Can last for years right..? It means that India had its own fixed systems, India had its own
science and within a span of two thousand years when civilizations like Egypt and Yunnan were
destroyed, even after such well-planned and continuous invasions, if the Indian culture looked
alive with the same consciousness. Certainly his 'science' must be very deep and solid! So on
the basis of which India has been standing for years, before and even after the arrival of
foreigners, on the basis of which its society is being managed, which has a specific material
vision in the world; It is called the Indian knowledge tradition! Now the knowledge that
developed in India and the type of which is 'Indian' is the knowledge...means Indian
knowledge...let's understand the Indian type of knowledge...every country and civilization has a
vision of seeing and understanding everything, there are concepts about life, existence. It has a
certain type of vision, as India has a vision, it has the ability to see existence in its entirety. While
in other places there is a deficiency in this matter.
Now the third word is tradition is a principle of knowledge, a book is a library, a school is a
school. But India has a tradition of knowledge. India's knowledge is not limited in books,
research centers but India's knowledge is in people's mind, people's life too! And this knowledge
has come after thousands of years of continuous effort in 'tradition'. A person living in an
ordinary village in India speaks in a simple vernacular about the mystical secrets of human life,
the principles of philosophy. Even if we spend crores of rupees, the facts that western science
obtains today, the people of India have a 'sahaj bodh'. Tantra knowledge, which is not possible
even today in the field of science, is a traditional, traditional knowledge in the genetic society
living in the remote forest areas of India. There are many disciplines like metallurgy, medical
sciences, even today. Where did that study come from? Recapturing that ancient consciousness
to make it imperative for the whole world to know what we had before going to Macaulay's
school, is the aim of the study of the Indian knowledge tradition.
When the knowledge of India is discussed, there is an assumption that the knowledge of India is
spiritual knowledge, but this is not possible. In India, knowledge is deeply worked in all spheres,
mundane and supernatural, and the Indian knowledge tradition only means that which It is not
only the study of what is written in our ancient scriptures, it is not to generate electricity from the
earthen pot again but to reproduce the tradition of knowledge in the Indian tradition of
knowledge. From the Indian point of view, 'Indian model' is to be raised in all fields of modern
times. Which is eternal and for the good of all, science, technology, industrialization has
achieved many achievements; have developed, and now looking back after a journey of many
years, it is realized that the path of development that was accepted has had many detours and
the structure of science, modernization based on a flawed vision has arisen, more so.
Problems arise and the need for rethinking is visible to all, the efforts made for human
well-being, convenience and to make the experience of life pleasant are proving to be a
challenge for the human being. A number of other problems arise from giving importance only to
external knowledge and developing a flawed science, and what is the science we are talking
about developing?
Can anyone guarantee that the buildings that are being constructed today through modern
technology will be in a condition to be used even after 200 years? Even after all these
developments in the field of medicine, some diseases are still incurable, on the contrary,
diseases have increased. It has a negative impact; For example, with the invention of AC, we
can set the temperature in the office or at home to whatever temperature we want, but now we
realize that using AC in your home, by using AC, there is a small melting of calcium, and so on.
Global warming is happening which is ultimately not beneficial. So it means that the science that
we have developed so far based on that, the vision of the science was limited, it was limited to
the environment and nature.
The tradition of knowledge has established ideals in every field of the world, made realistic
models in every field. There is not a single field in which India has not excelled and
excelled...Vastu, Metallurgy, Literature, Art, Mathematics, Chemistry as many disciplines as it
has today. India has made a contribution to all of them, but it is the fruit of the Indian knowledge
tradition. Production is, in the Indian knowledge tradition, to study those models; The invasion
period blocked the flow of the Indian knowledge tradition and India fell behind, Western thinkers
say that India missed the industrialization bus.
Left behind is not the truth. India has been an industrialized society since its inception, the
Indian farmer used to harvest the crops in the field, process it himself, add value and sell it in
the world market. India fell behind not because of mistake but because of deliberate attempt to
trample India under their bus...Industrial revolution in Europe, on the basis of looted money from
India, there has been a well-planned effort by different powers to destroy this Sanskrit of India's
knowledge tradition for a thousand years. No one can deny that...If we talk about the Indian
knowledge tradition, if we talk about the glorious history of India, there is a question that if there
was so much, where did it go and now what will we do by knowing about it..
The answer to the first question is that it was destroyed due to a long series of continuous
invasions.. These invasions were terrifying.... Temples which were the centers of knowledge
tradition were destroyed, universities like Nalanda, Taxila, were destroyed, years of research,
theories , the invention of science was burnt out, but it does not mean that the Indian tradition of
knowledge was completely destroyed. All these were the fruits of the Indian tradition of
knowledge. Based on which this science of knowledge was created. The purpose of studying
the Indian tradition of knowledge is that through the observation, examination, study and
research of sculpture, the quality of sculpture can be achieved again, the flow of this knowledge
can be re-awakened by awakening the consciousness...which achieves new achievements in
the field of knowledge and science.. May give the world again the science of the eternal, and the
'elite' of all... for if the sculpture perishes and the sculptor lives, the sculpture can be recreated.
When the current of this knowledge tradition was flowing unhindered, the knowledge tradition of
India gave a scientific and empirical way of life, gave a systematic knowledge of health. Gave
the science of Vastu, Gave epics, Gave metallurgy, Gave systems that work for thousands of
years without any side effects. If this flow had not happened, what would have happened... the
world would have been different today, the fields of today, software, administration,
management, urban planning, all the subjects of today would have had a different structure and
level. As a bearer of the Indian knowledge tradition, as a bearer of this ancient tradition,
heritage. As an Indian, it is the current duty of everyone to try to open the storehouses of
knowledge through search, pursuit, exploration in all fields, and by attaining that consciousness,
all the dimensions of the modern world are illuminated again.
There is a story. In the courtyard of a temple, a monk was begging for alms sitting on a wooden
box and in front of a hermit who was passing by the temple he spread his hands and begged for
alms, the ascetic said I am a hermit what can I give you? But let me tell you one thing, why don't
you ever open the box on which you are sitting and begging... The beggar said I have been
sitting here all my life. Four generations of me have sat here and begged for alms. My great
grandfather, grandfather, father are sitting on this box, after them now I am sitting. What's the
difference? The ascetic said... Sitting on this box for an hour or thousands of years will make no
difference, as long as you don't open this box, and the ascetic left saying..After three or four
days it occurred to the beggar what the ascetic would have wanted to say. ..and he brought a
big stone and smashed it on the lock with a loud force and broke the lock. Inside there were
diamonds, pearls, gold ornaments...this story belongs to every Indian.
Asma family...
We have been sitting on that box begging the West for years. Walk now to that box
open…
About a thousand years ago; A minister of a state called Bharatpur was passing by on the road.
It was a summer day and the heat was intense. The soldiers and horses with them were also
tired. So he thought of going to a village and resting for a while as he saw it near, he instructed
his soldiers to do so and reached that village. Seeing the minister and the soldiers, the villagers
sent a message to the zamindar of the village, hearing that the minister of a very big state had
come to the village, the zamindar came running and welcomed him with respect. Requested him
to do Padram at his house and obeying his insistence Pradhan went to the zamindar's house.
After the warm welcome, Pradhan's eyes fell on Das carrying a sheet of paper and Pradhan was
stunned. With astonishment and unfamiliar awe he inquired of the Zaminada youth,
Who is this?
We have had him for the past 10 years, he is a skilled person, he works well, if you like him, I
offer him to you.
Without saying anything, Pradhan quickly went to the young man and shook the young man's
hand
It was noticed that Pradhan was confirming a sign. Which was found and Pradhan
Again asked, through whom has this slave come to you?
The zamindar said; I found him on the bank of a river when I went hunting in the forest once.
Asked about him, but he could not speak anything. So I brought him with me.
Did something go wrong, sir? Going to Pradhan and joining his hands, the zamindar asked...
What is all this happening? Even that young man did not understand anything. All he
remembers is that there was a terrible thunderstorm that night and he was hit by falling in the
forest and after coming to consciousness he did not remember anything further so he spent
several days in the forest by the river and one day he met the zamindar...
Pradhan said...This prince was sent to exile by a mantra by our Rajpandit and after that years
went by in search of the prince but he was not found.
Why did Prince Pratapadeva of a Maurya state like Bharatpur remain a slave of a minor
zamindar for years? The reason being, the disaster caused by the terrible storm; Owing to the
forgetting of the mantra given by the Rajpandit, the prince had a self-remembering of who I am,
for whom I had set out, where to go. Forgetting these things.. Forgetting 'Self', if the Pradhan
had not made the young man realize his good form, the prince of a great state would have felt
grateful for years as a servant in the zamindar's house and would have understood the
blessedness of life in that...
This story is metaphorical but that story belongs to everyone in India. Forgetting India's
traditional gyanmantra has plunged India into crisis and forgetting the 'Self' has destroyed its
energy, prowess, Lakshmi, and then the Blessed One is experiencing it in slavery.
Depriving a person of his 'self' (that which he is) makes him feel 'slavery instinctive and
dignified. By America in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, when the people of South
Africa were enslaved and taken to their countries; Then their names were changed on the first
ship. Why..? It is a method of destroying 'self'...the science of domination! When a person is
Pratapadeva he has a certain type of memory which gives him courage to win but when the
same person becomes 'luloo.. tuloo' his self-confidence is destroyed. It applies to both an
individual and a nation. If we look at the nations that exist today in modern times, it comes to
mind.
Only those nations which have retained their own nature and respect have evolved and
developed and have become rich; There is no nation which has given up 'self' and has survived
and progressed.
17.3
Everyone's faith is shaped on the basis of their nature, Human product of their faith, such faith
decides what he becomes...If we have 'faith' (here Shraddha means Bhav, self-belief meaning
thoughts about self) we will be his. This applies to both individuals and nations.
What is India...what is our faith for India. What is India? What is India's 'Self'? Is India a country
that came into existence in 1947 with nothing of its own, made up of an unnatural amalgamation
of princely states taken under one administration by the British of many orders and educated as
members by the grace of the West; And even today he has to learn everything from others and
move forward? Is this a fact or have we forgotten everything after getting injured in the van after
paying the Shyamantra...? What is India's self…?
Sages of enlightened knowledge desired the best of all at the beginning of creation, performed
penance with initiation and from that 'Rashtra' arose. Bal and Oj were born. India's true self
This is Bharata is the name of a fully developed level of consciousness which desires the good
of all and is active for the good of all and not just the desired. As a civilization, as a culture, as a
society, India has achieved the highest position in all the dimensions that a country and human
species can progress and have as many dimensions as it can have.
Sarve Bhavantu Sukhin' is India's character, thought; And there is the consciousness of India.
India wants not only the good of India: India wants not only the good of the human race; Bharat
wants the good of the whole...man, animal, nature, bird, animal and not only the living but also
the material.
Peace in space, on earth, in herbs, in plants, in the universe, in the nation, town, village,
building, peace in the body, mind and every particle of the world, this is the prayer of India from
the beginning of existence and India has not only prayed for it, it has also worked for it. As
human existence took shape on other continents in the world; Similarly, Rishimuni has gone
there from India, has given him 'Bhadra', has given him life philosophy, has given him
knowledge and science, and for this work, countless 'Indians' from India have gone all over the
world and spent their lives there. That is the extent of it. And while doing this work, India has not
tried to take away anyone's territory nor has it allowed its desire to arise in the mind, it has given
a system, a way of life for those people to rise up in their lives. Whenever any other species in
the world has become dominant, it has exploited others, not so in the case of India. India has
become strong, powerful, powerful, it has not become an exploiter, but a servant. This is the
character of India.
