What you need to know about Send Money


Can I Send Money from any BDO account?
You can use a BDO Pay Account, Savings Account or Checking Account
as a source account for Send Money transactions. BDO Credit Cards
cannot be used for this feature.

Can I Send Money to any BDO Account?


You can only Send Money to a BDO Pay Account, Savings Account,
or Checking Account.

If your receiver’s default account is a BDO Credit Card, the money will be
credited to the first BDO Pay Account, Savings Account, or Checking Account
listed in their Link/Unlink Accounts on the BDO Pay app. If they don’t have any
of these accounts, the transaction will not push through, and you’ll get the
following notification in your app: “This mobile number is not yet linked to
BDO Pay.”

Can I Send Money through the BDO Pay app if I’m abroad?
Yes, as long as you’ve already successfully signed up for BDO Pay, you can use
the app to Send Money, even when you’re abroad.

How much is the fee to Send Money to other banks and wallets?
Sending Money to other banks and wallets is PHP 10.00 per transaction.

How long does it take for my Send Money via InstaPay transaction to be
received?
Your receiver should get your Send Money via InstaPay in real-time.

How do I know which account I sent to?


The success screen will show you the name of the bank or mobile wallet,
account number, and account name that you sent money to.

I sent money to the wrong person. What do I do?

How can I check if a transaction is successful?
If your transaction is successful, you will get an in-app transaction
receipt and an email. You can also check your Transaction History.
Please note that this isn’t an official receipt. Official receipts have to
be requested directly from the biller.

When will the payment reflect in the biller’s account?


Your payment will reflect in the biller’s account within three (3)
banking days.

Can I pay billers who are not yet included in the list of BDO Pay Billers?
Sorry, you can only pay billers listed on the app. We're working on
making more billers available.

I made a mistake, what can I do?

Scan to Pay transactions reflect in real-time.

Will I get BDO Credit Card rewards from my Scan to Pay transaction?
Yes, you will earn points if you use your credit card as the source account
for your transaction.

Can I use Scan to Pay for all QR codes?


No, you can only scan BDO Pay QRs at the moment.

What should I do if I paid the wrong amount?


If you entered and paid the wrong amount after scanning a store’s displayed
BDO Pay QR code, please talk to the merchant and ask them to call the
Merchant Services Hotline.

REQUEST MONEY

Request Money
like a pro
Asking someone to pay you
back is now digital with the
BDO Pay app. When someone
receives your request, all they
have to do is tap Send, and the
amount goes straight into your
deposit account.

What you need to know about Request Money


Can I Request via QR code?
Yes, you can. In the main menu at the bottom of your home screen, tap
Request > Request via QR.

Choose if you want to create a QR code with or without amount, create a


nickname for your account, and then tap Generate QR. Save it or share
so people can Scan to Pay you.

How many times can my QR code be used?


QR codes generated for Request via QR can be used multiple times and
will not expire.

Can I Receive Money through my BDO Credit Card?


You can only Receive Money through a BDO Pay Account, Savings
Account, or Checking Account. If your default account is a BDO Credit
Card, the money will be credited to the first BDO Pay Account, Savings
Account, or Checking Account listed in your Link/Unlink Accounts on the
BDO Pay app. If you don’t have any of these accounts, the transaction will
not push through.

Keep your account safe and
secure with just a few taps
on your phone.

How can I keep my BDO Pay account


safe and secure?
Here are some important tips:

• Never share your username, password, and 6-digit PIN with anyone else.
• If other people can log in to your phone with their fingerprint, they'll
also be able to log in to your BDO Pay account. Choose 6-digit PIN in your
Authentication Settings instead.
• Never give your Credit Card number and expiry date, CVV, and OTP
to anyone else.
• Only Scan to Pay or upload BDO Pay QRs from people you know.
• Keep your list of devices updated. Delete the devices that you no longer use.
(To do this, tap More > Manage Devices)
• Check your transaction history regularly, and call the BDO Contact Center
at (02) 8631-8000 if you notice any unrecognized transactions.
• If you use your BDO Pay app account to receive payments, don't trust
screenshots of transaction receipts alone. Check if it's recorded in your
transaction history, too.

Is there a limit on the number of transactions I do?
There is no limit to the number of BDO Pay transactions you can do.

But please note the following transaction limits:

Can I cancel transactions?


Every transaction will ask you to double-check and confirm
the details. Once you tap Confirm, the transaction is
considered final and cannot be cancelled.
