Course Description This course aims to teach students basic computer history and its uses. It covers computer history, components, and classifications which will
enable students to cite the differences between the Computers and can identify their specific uses depending on their sizes and
specifications. The students will be able to learn the different ethical Issues in ICT which will enable them to be cautious of their actions
when dealing with the Internet. And at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to explore the usage of MS Offices such as Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint.

Course Outcomes As technology is used to commit more sophisticated crimes, law enforcement officers and those in the legal system
are increasingly using tech tools to combat crime. To keep the public safe and protect human life, it’s important that
the criminal justice industry use cutting-edge software, tracking systems, and more.
Those who study criminal justice today are at the forefront of life-saving technology. Here's a look at some of the
exciting technologies that are playing an important role in the criminal justice field today.

1. As stipulated in the Student Handbook and as a standing policy of the school, this class adheres to the No-Permit-
No-Exam policy.
2. The modalities of this class are modular online and modular offline. In the online modality, I will upload a video
lecture on the topic for the week. The video will be posted on Facebook, since most, if not all of you are
anticipated to have your accounts on Facebook. You will then be able to access the videos at your convenient
time, to follow the school policy for asynchronous online modality. If you choose to have the offline modality, for
any reason, you may ask for a hard copy of your module from me, during your scheduled time of pick-up. Lecture
videos like this will be shared on your mobile phones or your flash drives for you to watch at home.

3. The class requires the submission of requirements per week. These requirements will be posted in the Google
Policy on Academic Dishonesty Classroom for the students to be notified, for the online students. For offline students, you may submit your
requirements in a hard copy form, it can be computerized or handwritten. Online students may also submit
their requirements personally if they will have a hard time with the online submission. It only depends on what is
most doable for you.
4. Late submissions are not accepted. Unless there is a very valid excuse for a such late submission. The following are
considered valid: hospitalized (with medical certificate), death of an immediate family member (God forbid), and flu
(but not hospitalized; with an excuse letter from parents, guardian, or dorm manager).
5. Plagiarism is to be avoided at all costs. First offense, the student will receive a grade of 0 for the
work/activity/seatwork/essay. Second offense, the student will receive a final grade of 0.0 for the subject.
6. Requirements to be submitted must be in PDF soft copy, or as specified in the instructions.
