INTRODUCTION

1.1 About Company: Name of Organisation

BSDU has been incorporated as a State Private University vide GOR Act No. 3 of 2017
(BSDU Act). It is the first University in the country offering only Skills programs. It offers
Skill Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma, Bachelor of Vocation (B. Voc), Master of
Vocation (M.Voc) and Ph.D. in various skill areas.
The whole training is based on Swiss Dual System comprising of “On the job Training” and
“Vocational School” which has been adopted after carrying out due modifications to suit the
Indian industry. In Switzerland, there are about 247 trades available for skill development.
BSDU taking a cue from it, is today poised to offer such inter industry courses to the Indian
Youth. In contrast to Swiss Model which is for three to four years, the BSDU model is for
three-years degree course, each year comprising of two semesters, with I, III & V semester
with BSDU and II, IV & VI semester with the industry.

1.2.1 About Task Completed during internship

 Worked in different modules (CNC turning & milling as well as conventional
modules etc.) as a support in the training of students.
 I handled following projects during internship

 I supported the students of 5th semester for the completion of their projects.
 I also did building maintenance of the department. In this I clicked pictures of
something need to repair or replace and prepared report for that and submitted to Mr.
Rajesh Saini (maintenance engineer)

1.2.2 Challenges while Internship
 Faced the problem to give the training of 1st semester students because most of the
students have the Hindi background and also some did not have Science subjects.
 It was a great challenge for me to train the students of my batch.
 While supporting the students in their projects, it was a big responsibility to assist
them in the design, process planning, machining and the execution.

1.3 Skills improved during internship

 Giving training to students has improved my communication skills while interaction

with them.
 Internship in BSDU has helped me in removing hesitation and stage fear.
 Internship in BSDU has improved my working level with efficiency and quality of
work.
 While giving the training I learnt time management and punctuality.
 Leadership quality has improved and also learned about team work

SUMMARY

On the whole, this internship was a useful experience. I have gained new knowledge, skills
and met many new people. I achieved several of my learning goals, however for some the
conditions did not permit. I got insight into professional practice. I learned the different facts
of working with School of manufacturing skills.

Related to my study I learned more about the process planning and working on the projects. I
have experienced with a fantastic team is not only part of education, but it is a way of sharing
knowledge, ideas and opinions.

The internship was also good to find out what my strengths and weaknesses are. This helped
me to define what skills and knowledge I have to improve in the coming time. At last this
internship has given me new insights and motivation to pursue a career with SMS.
