MARKING GUIDELINES

QUESTION ONE

Marks must be awarded as follows:

 1 mark for using an A4 size page


 1 mark for A suitable title
 2 marks for cutting out and sticking in the pictures
 7 marks for the pictures arranged in order
 7 marks for the written explanation
 2 marks for creativity and good presentation

The passenger has to purchase a Gold


card from the self- help vending Once the payment is done, a Gold
machine/kiosk Card is made available to the
passenger. The card which is valid for
5 years, can be used to take a Gautrain
bus, parking and the trip on the
3 Gautrain.

The passenger will “tap” tag in their


card in order to allow the automatic
access control gate to open and give
them access to the train platform.

If the card is valid, once it is tagged it
will prompt a green light followed by
a sound which indicated that the card
is valid. The glass gate will open and
allow the passenger to walk through.

5 The passenger will get to experience


the full wonder of a Gautrain trip. The
swift movement will take them to
different places while they enjoy a
scenic ride using the large windows to
enjoy the view.

The passenger will use their Gold


Card to tag out which will open the
automatic access gates

one of the following rules:

 Eating, chewing gum and drinking is not permitted.


 No littering is permitted.
 The entire Gautrain system is a non-smoking area.

 Each of the speech bubbles in frames 1 to 4 must be utilized. (4)


 The dialogue in each speech bubble relates to the violation that took place and the
consequences thereof. (8)
