SYNOPSIS

PROJECT TITLE: QUIZ CONTEST

Abstract

Quiz Contest is an Android application designed to provide users with an engaging and interactive
platform to test their knowledge on various subjects, including current affairs and computer science. The
application features multiple-choice questions with a time limit and automatic score calculation. It aims
to enhance general knowledge across all age groups, particularly students, by providing a user-friendly
and convenient way to participate in quizzes.

Introduction

Relevance:

Quiz Contest is an Android application that includes general questions related to current affairs and
computers. It features multiple-choice questions with a time limit and calculates scores for each correct
answer. The app is beneficial for students of all ages as it helps increase general knowledge about the
world, sports, and computers. Users do not need to register; they can simply create a username and
password, which will be saved automatically, allowing them to log in again without worrying about past
scores. The application aims to provide a user-friendly environment and reduce manual effort, offering
an automated system for quiz participation, score generation, and administrative tasks.

Existing System

The current system requires users to log in with a username and password, which is saved in the
database for future logins. Users are then presented with options to start the game, view high scores, or
log out. Upon starting the game, multiple-choice questions appear one by one with a specific time limit.
Users select an answer and submit it, with scores calculated automatically for correct answers. At the
end of the game, the user's score is displayed. Existing systems have major drawbacks such as manual
processes and lack of automation, which this new application aims to address.

Proposed Approach
The proposed Quiz Contest application will offer:

● User Authentication: Simple login with username and password saved for future use.
● Quiz Categories: Questions on current affairs, computers, sports, and more.
● Multiple-Choice Questions: Timed questions with automatic score calculation.
● User Progress: Displays user scores at the end of each quiz.
● Administrative Features: Admin can add, delete, and update questions, set timers, and generate reports.

Objective:

The objective of the test plan is to identify and report as many bugs as possible to improve the program's
integrity. The aim is to ensure the application is user-friendly and performs well across various platforms
with minimal impact on performance or usability.
Process Overview:

● Identify requirements to be tested based on the program specification.

● Determine test cases for each module.
● Review test data and cases for adequacy.
● Document test configurations, data, and expected results.
● Perform tests and document outcomes.
● Generate Bug Report Forms for any issues encountered.
● Submit test documents and reports for review and updates.

Future Scope and Further Enhancements:

● Interface Enhancements: Improve the user interface for better user experience.
● Alarm Tone Selection: Allow users to choose alarm tones for notifications.
● Prescription Parameter Integration: Add medicine-related information for health-related quizzes.
● Dosage Parameter Integration: Specify dosage details for health-related quizzes, including minimum and
maximum dose sizes and intervals.
