TITLE: Technology in Today’s Youth
Hi to each and every person in this room, thank you for having this opportunity to talk about
the effect of technology to youth and future youth.
As we all know technology allows us to explore in many ways as we can, Many decades has
past but still technology has a massive impact in our lives right ? So every day as we woke up
technology is growing up, increased,expand and being convenient for everyone especially to
you young generation.
So may i ask how great is the impact of technology for you as of now?
According to Christian Lous Lange (2015) “Technology is useful servant, but a dangerous
master”
So, do you believe that having so much access to the internet makes it a lot easier or harder
for your generation to grow? Because we all know that this technology has a greater impact
on us and in the future, there are both advantages and disadvantages to having such a
significant invention in our society.
Now, your generation is also called as Digital generation because is makes you more smarter
or making you dumb depending on how you manage the technology that you have. This has
been a debating topic for over a year but despite the fact that technology have done so much
things that helps us in today’s life, Do you still think that the world is better having
technology ?Because there are no body language or emotional sentiments that can be
transferred through a computer screen, because we engage better with other people through
face-to-face conversations.
As we talked about technology we will realized that this have a pros and cons. Technology is
great way to learn, entertain us but still dangerous distraction from our real-world like i said
technology enhances your creativity, helps you to think more deeper than the usual it
empowers you right? You can innovate with the helps of technology, brings you to learn your
capabilities and so much more benefits to make it more convenient and easier for you to live
but then again as i said there are pros and cons in every decision that we make,where there is
brighter side there is darker side
As you use technology you giving the world or the people your identity right? Not that much
but atleast some of your information, the way you live, your everyday thing that you do, your
giving the world the access to you to discriminate you, to bully you, to identify what’s your
weaknesses and strength or in short where they can hit you where later on they will use it to
you. Losing your privacy, learning barriers, decreased you communication and intimacy in
people and most thing affect your mental health. Are the negative effects on us or to you?
See? Is that how we want to live? According to Jeff Goldblum old ver. (1995), he said that
“It’s become appallingy clear that our technology will surpass our humanity” resemblance to
the facebook post that appeared in (2012) the earliest ver. by Albert Einstein said that “I fear
the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation
of idiots”
Somehow it tells us are we getting smarter or just being more dependent? I can conclude that
technology is not our universe it is not the center of our life, and it never should be. There are
some issues in the world today that must be addressed. The point is that each individual must
preserve a proper check and balance on themselves in order to prevent any dangerous
situations humans could survive without technology before us, so we can as well. Apparently
technology has been part of our life but still our lives doesn't slue around in it. Remember
that "Any fool can know, The point is to understand" (Ernest Kinoy, 1973)
