Understanding the Indian Number System:

In the Indian numbering system, large numbers are categorized into thousands, lakhs, and crores.
Each category is expressed in words in a specific manner.

Key Terms:

 Units: 1 to 9

 Thousands: 1,000 (One thousand)

 Lakhs: 1,00,000 (One lakh)

 Crores: 1,00,00,000 (One crore)

Writing Numbers in Words:

1. Identify the Place Values:

o Break down the number into thousands, lakhs, and crores.

2. Convert Each Place Value to Words:

o Units and Tens: Combine these as needed (e.g., twenty-five).

o Hundreds: Express as hundreds (e.g., three hundred).

o Thousands: Combine thousands (e.g., ten thousand).

o Lakhs: Use lakhs for numbers in the lakh range (e.g., two lakh).
