Yoly sat down on the bench. She couldn’t believe Lucky was gone. She had only opened the
back door for a second and her dog had run outside without his leash and ran away.
Yoly and her mom had searched for hoursin the neighborhood, in the park and even at the
animal shelter. But Lucky was nowhere to be found it was like he dissapeared!
The girl sighed, “What if he’s gone forever? I’m sorry, Mom I didn’t mean to let him
outside.”
They walked down the sidewalk, calling forLuckyevery few minutes. They kept looking in his
favorite spots until it got dark, but finally had to head home. Yolanda Hung her head, wishing they
could find Lucky.
Just then, she heard a familiar bark, “LUCKY?” she cried excitedly. A fluffy golden tail came
wagging towards them. Yolanda wrapped her arms around Lucky, giving him a hug. “I’m so glad we
found you.”
