The Bus Pass Requisition Project is an internship conducted at the Livetech India Pvt. Ltd in
collaboration with its Computer Department. This project aims to develop an efficient and user-friendly
system for managing bus pass requisitions within the institute.
The current bus pass requisition process at Livetech is largely manual and paper-based, leading to
delays, errors, and inefficiencies. This project seeks to address these challenges by designing and
implementing a computer-based system that streamlines the entire process. The proposed system will
leverage technology to enhance communication, automate workflows, and improve overall efficiency.

Safety Precautions Followed
Obtain necessary permissions and access: Ensure that we have the appropriate permissions and access rights
to work on the online bus pass requisition project.
Use secure and updated software: We Made sure that the software and tools we use for the project are up to
date and obtained from trusted sources. Keeping our operating system, development tools, and antivirus
software updated to minimize security risks.
Protect sensitive data: If the online bus pass requisition project involves handling sensitive information, take
appropriate measures to protect the data. This may include using encryption, secure data storage, and
following data protection guidelines.
Use secure network connections: Ensure that we are working on a secure network connection, preferably a
trusted and password-protected network. Avoid using public or unsecured Wi-Fi networks when handling
sensitive information.
Regularly back up our work: To avoid data loss or corruption, regularly back up our work on external
storage devices or cloud services. This will help in case of any unforeseen events or technical issues.

Description of things learned there
Web Development: Given that the project involves an online bus pass requisition system, we have learned
web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and frameworks like Bootstrap and
Tailwind. We have gained experience in building user interfaces and creating interactive web applications.
Database Management: As part of the project, we have learned about database management systems, such as
SQL databases, and how to design and implement a database schema to store and retrieve relevant information
for the bus pass requisition system.
System Integration: Depending on the complexity of the project, we have gained experience in integrating
different systems and services, such as authentication systems to enhance the functionality of the bus pass
requisition system.
Security and Privacy Considerations: In the context of handling sensitive information like bus pass details,
we have learned about security best practices, data encryption and user authentication and authorization
mechanisms to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of user data.
Project Management: We have learned how to work in a team setting, communicate effectively, and meet
project deadlines.

Challenges & Experience
Challenges:
1. Understanding Requirements: One common challenge is comprehending the requirements of the online
bus pass requisition system and translating them into a technical solution.
2. Technical Hurdles: Developing a robust and user-friendly web application presented us with technical
challenges. These include integrating various components, handling data securely, optimizing performance,
and addressing compatibility issues across different browsers and devices.
3. Time Management: Balancing project tasks, deadlines, and other responsibilities were challenging.
Meeting project milestones and completing deliverables within the allocated timeframe was hard to manage.
4. Problem Solving: Projects often involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Identifying and
addressing bugs, errors, or unexpected behavior in the system required us with problem-solving skills and a
systematic approach to debugging.
Experiences:
1. Learning Opportunities: Internships provided us valuable learning experiences, allowing us to apply
theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. We have gained practical skills in web technologies, database
management, and project management.
2. Professional Growth: Internships offered us an opportunity for personal and professional growth. We have
developed skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication, all of
which are essential for a successful career in computer science.

3. Exposure to Industry Practices: Engaging in an internship provided us insights into industry-standard
practices and workflows. By working on an online bus pass requisition project, we have gained exposure to
relevant technologies, coding standards, and project management methodologies.
4. Networking and Mentoring: Internship provided us opportunity to build professional networks and receive
guidance from experienced professionals. Interacting with mentors, supervisors, and colleagues offered us
valuable insights, advice, and potential career opportunities.
5. Sense of Achievement: Successfully completing an internship project instilled a sense of accomplishment
and boost confidence in our abilities. It serves as tangible evidence of our skills and can enhance our resume
and future job prospects.
Why the initiative to develop this project was urged: The Project is developed for TIFR Mumbai, for their
employees so they can use the industries bus facility, the workflow of the Bus Pass Request before this project
was in the Offline Mode and this was bit hectic for the employees and the CCCF Department too, its was a
contagious work to manage so many request in a hardcopy format and handle all the forms filled by the
employees and verify it one-by-one by the associated administrator of the department and issue the passes
accordingly. So, to ease-out this frantic workload on the CCCF dept. this project was handed over to us by
respected sir Mr. Siraj Momin to develop a online portal for the employees so they can fill the details online
and submit the payment receipt and photograph online to the admin. And then the admin through the admin
dashboard accept and declines the request and issues the bus pass accordingly.
Frontend Tech Used: For the frontend we have used HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery and Frameworks like
bootstrap, tailwind, & validator. We have used HTML to build a structure of the bus request form and admin
dashboard too. CSS was used to make the form and dashboard look modernized, basically to style it using its
frameworks.

Backend Tech Used: For the backend we have used PHP & MYSQL. We used phpMyAdmin to use it as our
database and link the database and tables to our bus pass form using PHP, and the server-side scripting was
also done in PHP too. The validation of the request form and the login for were got concatenated with the help
of JavaScript and jQuery using it framework popularly known as “Validator” plugin. Used DataTables plugin
to for the page navigation, data sorting and table searching.
Bus Pass Requisition Workflow: Design and implemented a workflow that allows users to submit bus pass
requests online, including relevant information such as travel routes, durations, and other necessary details.
This workflow involved approval mechanisms for administrator.
User Management: Implemented user authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure that only
authorized individuals can access and modify the bus pass requisition system.
Database Management: Developed a database schema to store and manage user information, bus pass
requests, and admin login data.
Email system: Implemented a system to send emails to users & admin regarding the status of their bus pass
requests, approvals, or any updates or changes related to their passes.
Requirements Gathering: Identified the specific needs and requirements of the bus pass requisition system
by consulting with our supervisor.
Design and Architecture: We Created a system design and architecture that includes user interfaces, database
structure, and an admin panel.
Development: Implemented the system using appropriate technologies, programming languages, and
frameworks. This involved front-end development for user interfaces, back-end development for business
logic and database integration.
