WET VS. DRY BRUSHES

With some papers the ink tends to bleed, causing a more soft, wet

Choose a swatch from


one of the color palettes.

You will notice the colors


will automatically blend on
top of one another.

you must color on
one layer.

• Because of the built-in


blending settings, the
brush will blend on top
of itself if you pick up
your brush. To avoid
this when coloring

METHOD 02: COLORING WITH LAYERS

If you tend to keep your


2 colors on different layers in
your artwork, then Method
02 is for you.

STEP 1:

Choose a swatch from


one of the color palettes.

Choose a brush from the


brush panel.

Create a new layer and


set the blending mode to
Multiply.

Begin coloring.

STEP 2:

Repeat Step 1 with all


your desired colors and
brushes.

Method 02 Notes:

• In order for the brushes


to blend correctly, all
the layers must be
set to Multiply.

• Because of the built-in


blending settings, the
brush will blend on top
of itself if you pick up
your brush.

METHOD 03: COLORING WITH MASKS

Method 03 is perfect for:

• Applying the Risograph


brushes to existing
artwork.
• If you prefer coloring
your artwork with solid
colors before applying
the brushes.

STEP 1:

Make sure your artwork


layers are separated by
color.

Set the blending mode of


all your layers to Multiply.

Set your color to black.


Note: It must be 100%

tap Fill Layer.

This will hide the color.

Open the Brush Panel and


tap the brush you want
to use.

Tap Rendering in the


Brush Studio menu.

Tap the Blend mode


option and change it from
Multiply to Normal.

Tap Done.
