COMPENSATION TRANSACTIONS

DESCRIPTION DURATION
This course is designed for individuals who will process 10 Hours (2 Days)
compensation in Workday for employees during the hire, transfer,
and offer business processes. TRAINING UNITS

In this course, you will learn the basics of completing transactions
in Workday Compensation. This course will focus on
compensation terminology, defaulting compensation during transactions, and core
compensation transactions. This course will dive more deeply into specific compensation
transactions, such as proposing compensation for new hires, proposing compensation changes,
requesting compensation changes, and requesting one-time payments.

Individuals who are responsible for managing the configuration of the Workday Compensation
application should attend the Compensation Fundamentals course instead.

PRETRAINING CONSIDERATIONS

To successfully complete this course, users will need a working knowledge of the core concepts
of Workday, including navigation, organizations, business processes, and reporting. These
topics are covered at an introductory level in Workday Core Concepts or in more depth in
Workday Foundations.

• Complete common compensation transactions such as propose compensation and
request compensation change.
• Use the correct, cancel, and rescind tasks on compensation events.

• Explain different scenarios of defaulting behavior.


• Map out and share troubleshooting techniques for default compensation.

3: Compensation Staffing Transactions

• Initiate a hire, rehire, and successfully complete the Propose Compensation Hire
subprocess.
• Initiate an offer and successfully complete the Propose Compensation Offer/Employment
Agreement subprocess.
• Initiate a transfer and successfully complete the Propose Compensation subprocess.

4: Initiating Compensation Events

• Initiate a one-time payment.


• Initiate a compensation change.

• Run critical compensation reports in Workday.
