PRELIMINARY
One of the stimuli that needs to be done to increase the ability of students in the field of science,
especially Mathematics, is to hold an Olympiad Event. The Indonesia Scientific Society (ISS) is an
institution that is concerned with advancing the world of science in Indonesia. To improve the
abilities of Indonesian students in the field of science and Mathematics, the Indonesia Scientific
Society (ISS) is ready to hold the International Applied Mathematics Olympiad (IAMO).
IAMO is a means of improving the abilities of international students in the field of science,
especially Mathematics. International students are tested for their skills and dexterity in doing
Mathematics problems which can foster a positive attitude, especially in terms of critical thinking
and being scientific. This year, 2024, we will be holding a face-to-face IAMO which will be held in
the city of Bandung, Indonesia.
PURPOSE
The objectives of the IAMO are:
❑ Fostering a positive attitude, especially in terms of critical thinking and being
scientific through the challenges of solving Mathematics problems.
❑ Give birth to the best students in the field of Mathematics who are ready to
compete at the international level.
TERM and CONDITIONS
❑ Participants are students in grades 4 until 12. Consist 3 Category : Category A (Grade 4,5,6),
Category B (7,8,9) and Category C (Grade 10,11, 12)
❑ Participants can represent schools or individuals.
❑ Participants are required to provide a stable internet network.
❑ Participants are required to have a mentor teacher who comes from the School or Guidance
Institution.
❑ Participants must have a WhatsApp number as a means of communication and coordination
between the committee and participants.
COMPETITION MECANISM
Comprehensive Test
(Each participant works on 25 multiple choise
questions in 90 minutes online and
supervised by Zoom Meeting or [Link])
Final Round Grand Final Round
From the comprehensive test will be taken
The Grand Final will be held in
the participant that has the value above the
average. Finalists will work on 30 Multiple
Bandung City, West Java – Indonesia
Choose questions within 90 minutes. (for procedure we will convey later)
