1. Evaluate the following limits:

2. Determine if the following functions are continuous at the given points. Justify
your answers:

3. Using the definition of the derivative, find the derivative of f ( x ) = x2 + 2x.

4. (a) Find the equation of the tangent line to the curve y = x3 − 2x2 + x at x = 1.
(b) A particle’s position is given by s(t) = t3 − 6t2 + 9t. Find the velocity and
acceleration of the particle at time t = 2.

5. Evaluate the following integrals:
