This chapter provides an overview of the summary of findings, conclusions, and recommendation

pertaining to the Struggles Faced by the Business Owners of Oas During the Pandemic

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

1. Factors Affecting Businesses during Pandemic:

These are the factors that affected both Salon and Convenience Store in Oas, Albay.

A. Salon Owners

Changes in Consumer Behavior

The factor which had the most proportion of an impact on the Salon in Oas during the pandemic was

changes in consumer behavior. This factor got 50% of the response of the respondents

B. Convenience Store Owners

Financial Problems and Supply Chain Disruption

Concerning the factors affecting the Oas Convenience Store, Financial Problems and Supply Chain

Disruptions received the greatest proportion of the respondents, 42.86% selected supply chain

disruptions and financial problems.

2. Struggle of Business Owners in Oas during the pandemic

This presents the different struggle of Business Owners in Oas during the pandemic

A. Salon Owners

Laying Off Employees and Being Closed Temporarily

100% of the Salon Owners considers that Laying off Employees and Closing their store temporarily as

they struggle they faced during the pandemic.

B. Convenience Store Owners

Being Closed Temporarily

The largest majority, 60% of Oas Convenience Store Owners, identified being temporarily closed as

their challenge they faced during the pandemic.

Customer Engagement

The engagement between the owners and their customers has decreased as a result of several

restrictions, which is why it has been difficult for those owners to maintain contact with their

customers throughout the epidemic. ...% of Oas salon owners reported having experienced this

difficulty and ranking it as the greatest obstacle they faced.

Programs and Adaptation to New Regulations as the solutions they developed to address their

challenges during the pandemic.
