Reporter 1: Yes, P1. PALESTINE Ambassador to Manila Saleh Mohammad said his country "highly
appreciated" the Philippines' vote in favor of the United Nations resolution calling for a
ceasefire in Gaza.
The resolution called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza "to halt the loss of life and suffering" in
the Palestinian enclave, which has been under assault by Israeli forces.
Philippine Permanent Representative to UN Ambassador Antonio Lagdameo explained the
Philippines' position during the 10th emergency special session of the UN General Assembly last
December 12.
Lagdameo had told the General Assembly the Philippines believes that a humanitarian ceasefire
in the Gaza Strip "is crucial to halt the loss of life and suffering."
A ceasefire "is a necessary step to facilitate the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to all
affected civilians, irrespective of their affiliation," Lagdameo said.

Reporter 2: Yes, P1. A Ceres bus veered off a cliff in Barangay Fabrica, Hamtic, Antique, around
4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Based on initial reports, the bus was carrying 30 passengers en route to Culasi, Antique when it
fell off the cliff allegedly due to brake failure.

The PDRRMO, however, confirmed that there are several individuals being taken to the
emergency area of the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose de Buenavista.

As of the latest update, the accident claimed 19 lives and left seven in critical condition as of
December 7. Four others survived unscathed.

Reporter 1: Yes, P2. State weather bureau PAGASA on Sunday morning placed several areas in
Visayas and Mindanao under Signal Number 1 due to Tropical Depression Kabayan.

Kabayan was last seen 460 kilometers east of Davao City, with peak winds of 55 km per hour
near the center and gusts of up to 70 kph. It was heading 15 kph.

PAGASA warned of heavy rainfall in parts of Mindanao and Visayas due to Kabayan. According
to the weather agency, forecast rainfall is generally higher in elevated or mountainous areas. It
warned that flooding and landslides may occur, especially in areas that are susceptible to these
hazards or have experienced considerable amounts of rainfall for the past several days.

Reporter 1: Yes, P1. Veteran actor Ronald James Dulaca Gibbs, best known by his screen name
“Ronaldo Valdez,” died on Sunday, his son Janno Gibbs confirmed. He was 76 years old.
“It is with great sorrow that I confirm my father’s passing. The family would like to request that
you respect our privacy in our grieving moment,” Janno posted on Instagram on Monday.
The cause of his death was not disclosed and the initial confirmation came from the Quezon City
Police District.
Valdez's acting career spanned nearly six decades.
His last project was the romantic drama series “2 Good 2 Be True” where he starred alongside
former love team and real-life couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. He portrayed the
character “Lolo Sir.”
