button near the front panel.
• The T120/T520 do not have another
power switch on the rear of the printer
like previous Designjet printers.

You can load paper into the T120/T520 in three different ways

From a roll From a single sheet As a stack of single sheets


from the multi-sheet tray

• Only one of these methods can be used at a time: There is only one media path
• Switching from one to another is manual; it is not done automatically
(big difference vs. ARSS supported in Designjet 11x Series)

How to clear paper jams: No media lever!

The front panel will display an animation showing how to remove the paper jam.
Important!
Switching off the printer to do that is not necessary, as with predecessors.

Paper mismatch action

A paper is unsuitable if the following are not as specified for the job:
• Paper Type
• Paper Source (roll, multi-sheet tray, or manual feed)
• Paper Size is smaller

What to do… (3 choices)


• Load the correct paper and resume printing
• Print the job on the already-loaded paper
• Cancel the job

Important notes

• The printhead is a Customer replaceable part


• To initialize a new printhead, new set of inks is required
• After replacing printhead, the printer will automatically
perform a printhead alignment on the loaded paper
• To trigger a replacement, use front panel menu
