SCHOOL-BASED TRAINING OF TEACHERS(SBTT)


ON THE MATATAG CURRICULUM

1. In reference to Regional Memorandum No. 160 s. 2024 entitled "Regional Training


ofDiinsion Trainers and School Leaders on the MATATAG Curriculum(RTOTf, this
Office shall conduct the School-based Training of Teachers (SETT) on the
MATATAG Curriculum (SETT), with the following program management details:

2. The training focuses on providing professional development support for teachers,


school principals, and assistant principals during the implementation of the MATATAG
Curriculum for Kindergarten, Grades 1, 4, and 7 beginning School Year 2024-2025.
3. This Office ensures the critical role of the teachers in the effective application of
learning gained from the training. Hence, the field is reminded ofthe foUowing guidelines
during the SBTT:
a. only teachers who are trained in the School-based Training for Teachers
on the MATATAG Curriculum shall be assigned to teach the new
curriculum, and
b. all participants shall undergo a pre-test on the first day of the training,
and a post-test on the last day.

4. Registration opens at 7;30AM on Day 1. Participants will take the pretest at


8:00AM. The opening program starts at 9:00 A.M. The first meal to be served is morning
snacks of Day 1. The last meal to be served is afternoon snacks of Day 5.
5. School Principals and Assistant School Principals are requested to complete the
form at https://tinyurl.com/SBTT-Local-PMT for the Batch and Cluster they will
attend.

6. The official list of participants will be released through a separate issuance.


7. Meals, supplies, and other incidental expenses of the participants during the
SBTT shall be charged against the 2024 funds allotted for the MATATAG Curriculum
training, subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
8. All participants are encouraged to bring a copy of the MATATAG Curriculum
Guide for the learning area/grade level, laptop, and extension cord.

9. The pretest and post-test will be conducted online; thus, all participants are
encouraged to have Mobile Data or pocket Wi-Fi for personal consumption.

10. Participants are requested to wear appropriate attire during the entire training.
11. Due to limited parking slots in the training venues, parking shall be on a "first
come, first served basis." After all parking slots are occupied, the "Drop and Go"scheme
shall strictly be implemented.

12. In the exigency of the service, all employees rendering services beyond regular
working hours and public holidays shall be granted Compensatoiy Time-Off or Service
Credits, subject to existing policies and guidelines.
