RESOURCES
1. Coding:
a. InterviewBit: A well-structured programming
track containing tutorials and problems on
various topics sequentially.
b. Leet Code: A large set of problems spanning
various algorithms and difficulty levels. We
suggest signing up for a free account first.
c. Code Forces: An online judge for testing your
problem-solving skills on a competitive level.
d. Geeks for Geeks: A mix of the InterviewBit and
Code Forces websites. A series of must-do
problems if trying for a coding intensive
internship. They bring the advantage of a
friendly and active discussion forum. Again, we
recommend signing up for this one too.

2. OOPS Concepts:

a. OOPS in CPP: (Detailed and precise)

b. OOPS in PYTHON: (Very Detailed)

The concepts will be similar in both CPP and

Python. However, the implementation is not.
It would be better to have a look at both.

03
3.Code Readability:

A well-structured code will benefit you during

debugging your own code.

The following topics are critical:

Dynamic Programming or DP
Graph Data Structures and Algorithms
Trees and Heaps
Bit Manipulation(for contests)

4. For Extensive Topic-wise Resources:

04
SUGGESTIONS

It is recommended to give contests on

CodeForces or CodeChef as the questions
asked on CDC tests are similar to their pattern.
One need not practice tons of questions for the
same topic. An average of 20-30 questions per
topic would suffice with understanding.
Consistency is the key to getting a good grip on
problem-solving. Some days might be fruitless
but never give up!
Practicing in groups might motivate you to solve
more questions and enjoy problem solving and
algorithms.
Getting the basics clear is extremely important.
Do not jump to problem-solving directly.

SUGGESTIONS
Having completed internships in product role prior to
CDC gives you an upper hand - it helps you get
hands- experience, gives you great talking points
and might even influence your product case
Many firms have selection process in the following
Rounds:-

towards tech)
d. Behavioural and HR Rounds
*Refer to the above resources to get
better ideas for these ideas

08
Doing case studies gives you experience on how
to approach any problem statement and its best
done in a group so it would be great if you can
make a group and start preparing for case
studies
Watching Youtube videos of Mock PM interviews

The youtube playlist of Aditya Verma is very useful
for someone who is studying DSA for the first time
For the probability section, the curriculum covered in
departments is enough

For AI/ML based internships:

Complete Andrew Ng's courses on ML and DL which

are great for basic ideas
Be very thorough with your project (code and
objective wise)
Go through all the basic definitions of ML concepts:

SUGGESTIONS
The interview process includes tests and rounds of
interviews including a talk with HR.
The test and interviews include managerial and
situation-based questions.
Your CV is a point of discussion during the
interviews so ensure that you’re well prepared with
your projects and interns.
A supply chain intern done earlier might be helpful
since the experience matters in interviews.
Skills such as Excel are sought after.

22
SUGGESTIONS
Consulting is about giving solutions to the problems
of different companies. This involves data analysis,
market research and using your problem-solving
skills to solve companies’ problems.

For CDC internships, very few companies come

offering a consulting role and follow a strict CV
shortlist. In Consulting, CVs are sorted on the basis
of ‘Spikes’. A spike on your CV is a considerable
achievement on a section of our CV
(Academics/Project/POR/Extra-Curricular). Spikes
on more than one of these sections is important to
secure a shortlist as these roles are open to all
departments and secure heavy applications.

23
To get an idea of consulting you can take part in
various case study competitions. In order to explore
the field further, you can consider taking internships
in corporates/startups in strategy roles, applying for
pro-bono consulting projects, etc.

Following a shortlist, there are multiple one-on-one

case interview rounds followed by a final HR round.
Generally firms provide a buddy (recent employee) to
help shortlisted candidates prepare for the case
interview round.
