The taking-over Master together with the handing-over Master, should check and verify the
existence and validity of each document, as well as the correct condition of vessel’s hull,
machinery and equipment. This check list in conjunction with the “Vessel’s condition report” Form
maintenance 1,” Life Saving Appliances & Equipment check list” Form Safety 03 and Marine
forms No.06 (statement ,condition etc. of wires and ropes) will show the condition of the vessel at
the time of handing over. One copy of this report shall forwarded to the office in care of the
handing-over Master and one copy to be kept in ship’s file.
