Spigots
• BFM® spigots are available in Stainless Steel T316L and PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
T304L, as well as C22 Hastelloy.
Stainless Steel T316L
• Available in a range of exact sizes, eliminating the Material Stainless Steel T304L or
imprecise nature of hose-clamp style connection C22 Hastelloy (limited sizes)
widths and ensuring a perfect fit with the BFM®
connector. Interior Finish ≤ 0.8Ra micro-metres
(32Ra micro-inches)
• All spigot diameters are measured at the base of the
tail. The spigot design is slightly tapered, so the OD at Wall Thickness 2.0mm / 5/64”
the top of the tail is 5mm / 13/64” greater than the base
Length (for all diameters) 89mm / 3 1/2”
• BFM® spigots have a tail 52mm (23/64”) long. These can (Head: 37mm / 1 1/2”)
be easily cut down or cut on an angle to suit your (Tail: 52mm / 2 3/64”)
existing pipework (we recommend leaving at least
AVAILABLE SIZES: (In 50mm (2”) increments)
15mm (19/32”) on the tail).
Diameter
• To enable the installation of a TR (Tool Release Ø100mm* - 1,650mm
Stainless Steel Spigots
connector, a 6mm / 15/64” hole is drilled in the top seat (Ø4” - 65“)
(also available in 125mm/5”)
of the spigot head.
Hastelloy Spigots Ø150mm - 500mm
(Ø5” - 1911/16“)

(* Ø100mm measured externally (OD) - all other diameters measured


internally (ID). Note that there is a ±2mm tolerance on the tail diameter
of all spigot sizes.)

Note: For applications where there is a possibility for static build up,
e.g. wood dust, flour, milk powder etc., we recommend using a
static dissipative wire (strip), connecting the two BFM® spigots
together.
