We are in search of a skilled and committed Deployment & Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this
role, you will ensure the smooth configuration, maintenance, and deployment of both software and hardware across
a diverse range of projects.

Job Summary:

As a Deployment Engineer at Derq, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management of server configurations
and deployments. Your responsibilities extend to guaranteeing the seamless functionality of deployed systems and
executing software installations on newly provisioned hardware. Collaborating closely with diverse cross-functional
teams, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure, delivering reliable solutions to
our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

● Configure and maintain servers for optimal performance and security.


● Promptly troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues.
● Conduct regular updates and patch management.
● Manage and update configurations for consistency and compliance.
● Deploy and configure software applications on new hardware.
● Collaborate with software development teams for seamless integration.
● Monitor and optimize software performance.
● Ensure efficiency in the CI/CD pipeline for quick developer feedback.
● Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

● Automate deployment of applications across environments.


● Assist in hardware procurement and selection.
● Collaborate with vendors for hardware support and replacements.
● Develop automation scripts to streamline deployment processes.
● Identify opportunities for process improvement.
● Maintain documentation and generate reports on deployment status.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


● 2+ years of experience in server configuration, maintenance, and deployment is preferred
● Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
● Basic knowledge of C++ and OOPS concepts.
● Strong understanding of hardware components and infrastructure.
● Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
● Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is beneficial.
● In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
● Knowledge of routing, NAT, and port forwarding.
● Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS (Amazon Web Services).
● Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
● Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
● Highly organized with attention to detail.
● Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Server+, or relevant AWS/Azure certifications are a plus.
