Cloud Essay

The document talks about the cloud and how it allows you to store and access information from anywhere over the Internet. He explains that the cloud offers advantages such as avoiding data loss, saving costs by not requiring large local storage capacity, and being more energy efficient. It also describes the main types of clouds (public, private, hybrid, and community) and how each handles data and user access.

ESSAY ON THE CLOUD

INTRODUCTION
When talking about the term cloud in the computing field, we are referring to the
service, which allows us to store information of different types, be it documents,
music, videos, on computers that are active 24 hours a day, thus being able to have
this information available as often as possible. in the places we want. This
infrastructure model was captured and brought to light in Wired magazine in an article
carried out by George Glider in October 2006 <<The information factories>> which
maintained that this type of service maintained a continuous interrelation between
them, which that allows autonomy to store, send and receive data, and that this
service called cloud was being applied in new internet services.

The cloud has been a revolution in the technological field, by avoiding the loss of
data and, above all, recovering it in case of changing devices, in the economic field,
since by not storing the information directly on our hard drives we can opt for devices
electronics with a lower memory capacity, which would reduce its cost and in the
environmental field since it contributes to the efficient use of the energy required for
the operation of the infrastructure.

DEVELOPMENT
Cloud computing is a computer system based on the Internet and remote data
centers to manage, store information services, data and applications, allowing
consumers and businesses to manage files and use applications on any computer with
Internet access without install these applications.

One of the simplest and most used examples of applications every day are Google
Docs and Google Drives, which allow us to create, save and have any type of
document. To use it we do not need to install this application, we only need internet
access.

The server and software are located in the cloud (internet) and are directly managed
by the service provider, thanks to this it is much simpler for the consumer to enjoy the
benefits.

The characteristics of cloud computing are as follows:

· Agility: Capacity for improvement which makes it easier to offer technological
resources to the user by the provider.
·Low cost: A public cloud delivery model converts capital expenses into operating
expenses, which reduces the barrier to entry since we do not need a third party to
acquire the infrastructure.
·Scalability and elasticity: Provisioning of resources on a self-service basis in almost
real time, without users requiring long loads.
·Independence between device and location: Since it allows users to access systems
regardless of their location or the type of computing device they use only using a web
browser
·Performance: Cloud systems control and optimize the use of resources automatically,
saving time and increasing efficiency
·Security: Thanks to the centralization of data, data protection and therefore its
security improves. Security is even better than traditional security since providers are
able to dedicate resources to solving problems.

There are different types of clouds:

The public cloud is a computing cloud maintained and managed by third parties not
linked to the organization. In this type of cloud, the data and processes of various
clients are mixed on the servers. The private cloud is one of the best options. For
companies that need service-level data protection and edits, this type of cloud is on-
demand, managed by a single server that controls which applications should run and
where they can manage the users who use the infrastructure and thus deny them or
approve their use of this, the hybrid cloud that combines public and private cloud
models. In this type of cloud, the user owns some parts and shares others in a
controlled manner, which allows the use of the applications to be distributed. The
community cloud is defined as the model that is organized with the purpose of serving
a function. or common purpose, which are managed by third parties.

CONCLUSION
The cloud marked a before and after in history since it not only improved our technological
field, becoming an indispensable tool for new computer systems since it allows us to store and
dispose of our data anywhere and at any time in the world, in the economic sphere since by
not using so much internal memory we can acquire devices at a lower cost, in the workplace
since it allows us to create a platform which can be used by a single company or community
and above all in the environmental field since by increasing By taking advantage of the energy
used, we reduce pollution by reducing its use. Without a doubt, the cloud is a great step
towards our progress and computing autonomy, which facilitates the use of these Internet
services and applications.
