WARNING:
When working in the open system, there is a danger of shock! electric!
• The capacitor bank may be charged. Do not try to work on the system
while this condition exists.
• After turning off the system, approximately 350 V could still be present in
the system, even after disconnecting the voltage plug from line. After 10 minutes
the voltage will reduce to approximately 10 V.
• Always measure the actual present voltage with the DVM at the -VCC point test
and + VCC on the D 960 inverter board or (more accessible) on the D 970 inverter
board capacitor at the + connection point of capacitor C3 and on the right side of
fuse F3 (see. Fig. 1).
• V1... V10 of the LEDs in the D 970 go to a significantly higher level of voltage
and therefore are not reliable indicators of safety.
• If a fuse has opened in the D 970, a high voltage may still be present in the
affected capacitor, even after an extended period of time.
• The capacitor discharge circuit uses the D925 board, CS and LS relays. Yeah
connectors X3 or X9 on D 925 and D 950 are not inserted or if there is a defect in
the circuit, the capacitor bank will not discharge.
This may cause life-threatening voltage may be present in the system. even after
an extended period of time.
• See also the chapter "Replacing the capacitor bank."

1–4 PREVIOUS
REQUIREMENTS

• Connect the POLYMOBIL Plus only to a line voltage supply (line voltage receiver) that meets the
requirements of VDE 0107, or corresponds to national standards.
• Disconnect the POLYMOBIL Plus from the line voltage at the switch on the control console and
disconnect the line voltage plug before any service work.
• Remove or insert plates with the generator off only; Observe ESD directives when handling
cards.

Replacing damaged or missing screws.

• Damaged or missing screws may only be replaced with steel screws as specified in the
installation drawings in accordance with DIN267 and must have the specified tension.

CAUTION: All Allen screws must have a tensile rating of 8.8.

Cleaning
• The unit should always be turned off or unplugged before cleaning it.
• Use only water to clean the unit or a warm, diluted solution consisting of water and a household
cleaning agent.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning products or organic solvents such as benzine, alcohol or stain
remover. Do not spray with water.
• For additional information, refer to the “Cleaning/Disinfecting” instruction manual.

MEASUREMENTS
Capacitor voltage (Uc) and charging time
In the Reveal-Ready state, the capacitor voltage is approximately 350 V and can be measured at D
950 TP "VC". If the device is shut down due to overload, the "ERR" signal is output on the D950.

CAUTION: The capacitor voltage can be measured at TP "VC" only if the POLYMOBIL Plus
is turned on.

The charging time depends on the remaining charge of the capacitor bank and the available mains
voltage, for example with 230 V maximum. Charging time is about 15s. In the worst case, (line
voltage <100 V and residual charge = 0 V), charging time may take 40 seconds.

For the next measurement, the mains voltage is 230 V and the residual load is 30 V.
