Finding the area of a sector

What is a sector? A sector is part of a circle.

Notice the blue section of the circle below. It is not the complete circle but
only a part of the circle

What is the formula The formula for the area of a sector is given below

θ 2
𝐴𝑟𝑒𝑎 𝑜𝑓 𝑎 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟 = 360
π𝑟

So for the example above the area of the blue section is

1 The angle is 30 degrees and the radius is 5 cm

2 The angle is 40 degrees and the radius is 6 cm

3 The angle is 55 degrees and the radius is 4 cm

4 The angle is 69 degrees and the radius is 11 cm

5 The angle is 10 degrees and the radius is 12m

6 The angle is 15 degrees and the radius is 55 m

7 The angle is 22 degrees and the radius is 15 m

8 The angle is 90 degrees and the radius is 100 m

9 The angle is 180 degrees and the radius is 23 m

10 The angle is 3 degrees and the radius is 7 m
