The purpose of the Tinkerpreneur Student Registration
Handbook is to provide answers to frequently asked
questions by students. This will enable students to make an
informed decision regarding their participation in the
bootcamp, manage their time well, stay motivated during the
entire duration of the bootcamp, and make the most of the
opportunity to learn the ropes of Entrepreneurship at an early
age:

What is Tinkerpreneur bootcamp all about?

Tinkerpreneur is a 40-day online bootcamp conducted by


Atal Innovation Mission every year. It equips students with
essential digital and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them
to launch a tiny online business venture of their own while
studying in school.

What will I learn in the bootcamp?

In the bootcamp, you will acquire several digital skills, build


a digital product, develop a business model, create a
brand, and market your product. You will also set up an
online store, launch an online business, manage your
business finance, and pitch your business to jury
members / investors for funding.

How will learning about entrepreneurship help me as a


school student?
Learning about entrepreneurship equips you with valuable
skills beyond just starting a business. It fosters creativity,
problem-solving, inventiveness and teamwork. You'll learn
to identify opportunities, manage your time, and
communicate ideas effectively. These transferable skills
will benefit you in any future path you choose, even if it's
not entrepreneurship itself.

What is the method of learning in Tinkerpreneur


bootcamp?

In Tinkerpreneur bootcamp, you will learn from an online


self-learning portal, through mentoring support, expert-
led sessions, and peer-guidance from Tinker Champs.
What resources are required to participate in the
Tinkerpreneur bootcamp?

You will need a laptop or a desktop computer with a


stable internet connection to aquire skills and submit
assignments during the bootcamp. You can use a mobile
device or a computer to view the self learning content on
the online portal.

How can I balance tinkerpreneur activities with


academic tasks, personal interests and hobbies?

Time management is key. Set aside a specific time and


duration everyday to work on Tinkerpreneur activities.

How much time will I need to spend in a typical day for


the bootcamp activities?

To participate effectively in the bootcamp, you will have


to dedicate one or two hours per day on an average.

What does it take to participate effectively in the


bootcamp?
Commitment, perseverance and time management are
key. Submit all the activities and assignments. Attend the
mentoring sessions, expert-led sessions and Hand-hold
me sessions so that you can gain greater understanding.

What are the rewards & recognitions for top performers?


If you acquire at least 80% of the digital skills, or submit all
the assignments during the bootcamp, you will be eligible
to receive a participation certificate. Good performers can
stand the chance to make it to the Top 100 in the country.
When does the bootcamp start, and how long does it
run?

The bootcamp starts from 20th June 2024 and runs for
40 days.

When does the bootcamp registrations start?


Registrations for Tinkerpreneur bootcamp starts on 10th
June 2024.

What is the last date for registering to the bootcamp?


There is no deadline for registration. Students can register
and participate in the bootcamp even after the bootcamp
starts.

What is the eligibilty criteria for participating in the


bootcamp?
ATL school students in classes 6-12 can participate.
Non-ATL school students can participate by teaming
up with ATL school students.
Students should be Indian nationals.

How do I register for the bootcamp?

How can non-ATL school students participate in the


Tinkerpreneur bootcamp?
Non-ATL school students cannot directly register on the
Tinkerpreneur Registration Portal. However, they can still
participate in the bootcamp by teaming up with one or
more ATL school students. Talk to your parents, teachers,
mentors or school principal and seek their help to find an
ATL school student wiith whom you can team-up.

What is the advantage of participating individually in the


bootcamp?
When you participate individually, you have greater
freedom and control over the project and direction. You
don’t need to compromise or deal with conflicts. You can
work at your own pace and schedule. However, you will be
limited by what you can accomplish on your own.
What is the advantage of participating in a team?
When you participate in a team, you have access to a
wider range of skills and knowledge. You have potential for
better problem-solving and idea generation. You can
share you workload among the team members.

What criteria should I consider when choosing my team


members?
When selecting a team member, consider the following:
Find someone who complements your skill-sets.
Find someone with whom you have good rapport,
open communication and can collaborate well.
Find someone who is commited and can meet
deadlines.
Ensure compatibility in schedules for effective
teamwork.

What is an ATL Unique ID / ATL code / ATL ID and how


can I get my school’s ATL ID?
ATL Unique ID / ATL code / ATL ID is a unique number
identifying your ATL in the entire country. Every ATL
school has one. Please get the ATL ID for your school from
your teachers, mentors or school prinicipal.

How can I raise a query or complaint if I face any issues in


registering for the bootcamp?
