Mixing instructions for layers with Feedlance layer concentrate 20%
When Mixing feed for the chicks’ stage, normally the birds are fed on the pre-starter
(ALPHA™). The birds are fed on this formula for (1-7) days.
After one week of growth the birds are gradually introduced to the starter/ grower
formula from the second week to the eighth week.
Below are the mixing instructions for the starter/ rower stage, on Feedlance Broilers
concentrate 35% (FBC 35%).

When formulating a tone, with the Feedlance (FBC 35%);
If 35kgs is to formulate 100Kgs
Therefore (1000Kgs × 35Kgs)/100Kgs
= 350 Kg of FBC 35%, which is equivalent to 7 bags.
From (9 – 17) weeks the birds are gradually introduced to the Layers concentrate 20 %
(FLC 20%), this enables them to develop their reproductive system for the impending
laying period.
At this stage, a required proportion of limestone Ca 36% is also introduced into the
ration to meet their nutritional and mineral requirement in the laying period.
