DEFINITON OF
HARDWARE
Hardware is part of a computer, which is a
device that functions to process input
(input) and output (output). Hardware can
also be defined as the physical
components that form the foundation of
a computer system. Hardware is
important because it is the heart that
allows the computer to perform its tasks
efficiently and effectively.

KEYBOARD
KEYBOARD
Keyboard is the main input media of a computer
data or commands are entered by pressing a series
of keys (existing letters). The arrangement of letters
is similar to a manual typewriter plus various buttons
such as: enter, esc; arrow key; numerical keypad and
so on.

MOUSE

Mouse is a graphical-based "Command" input


media. Works with "clicks", where each "click"
represents several commands if they have to be
typed. Here is an image of the mouse.

MAINBOARD
Mainboard Is a place where all
components on the computer "unite".
Input and output are connected to
the process through the IO port. Each
mainboard has its own configuration.

Processor
The processor is the "brain" of a computer. In
charge of organising all work processes on the
computer. The processor is generally divided
into two parts, namely:
A. CU (Control Unit)
B. ALU (Arithmetic and Logic Unit)

RAM
RAM is a temporary storage place for both
programmes and data that is "volatile".

VGA CARD

Is the part that connects the CPU with the monitor. The
greater the VGA capability, the better the resulting display.

Sound Card serves to


connect audio devices to
the triput computer from
the microphone and
output to the speakers.

COMPONENTS
Hardisk
The hard drive is the main storage
medium of a computer. Stores data
and the operating system of the
computer.

Floppy Drive
Storage media is mobile (easy to move). The
disadvantages of floppy drives, namely very limited
capacity, and are more quickly damaged when used
repeatedly or exposed to water and magnetic fields.

POWER SUPPLY
Power Supply is the main power source of a computer that
serves to drain electricity to all computer components.

CASING

Casing is a hardware device that can protect other


hardware from dirt or dust. This will provide security to
other hardware that is at risk of dirt or water.
Monitor
A. CRT (Cathode Ray Tube)
CRT monitors are conventional monitors
with tubes as a medium for spreading
electrons that function to produce colours
or images. The working principle of
conventional monitors, CRT (Cathode Ray
Tube) monitors by means of electrons fired
from the back of the picture tube to the
inside of the tube covered with elements
made of parts that have the ability to
transmit or decipher light. The electron
beam passes through a series of strong
magnets that bend the beam towards
certain parts of the inner tube.

Casing
Casing is a hardware device that can protect other
hardware from dirt or dust. This will provide
security to other hardware that is at risk of dirt or
water.
