SECAPA provides pilotage & towage services to ensure safety and smoothness of vessels entering and departing Seaports, Inland
Waterways, and Oil & Gas Offshore Ship-to-Ship (STS) Activities.

Based on Ministry of Transportation (MoT) regulations which complies with international regulations, all vessels above 500 GT has to
obtain pilotage and towage services, which mandatorily has to be provided by all port and STS operators under the laws of Indonesia. It
is compulsory for safety, security, environment, and the smoothness of vessel
flows.

Pilotage is essentially a State Authority, delegated to very few pilotage operators each in designated territories.
