Local Area Network (LAN)

Local Area Network (LAN) ek chhoti geographic area mein devices ko connect karta
hai, jaise ek building, office, ya school. LAN ka main purpose local communication
aur
resource sharing ko facilitate karna hota hai. LAN mein generally network
interface cards (NICs), switches, routers, aur Ethernet cables ya wireless access
points (Wi-Fi)

use kiye jate hain. Yeh high-speed data transfer provide karta hai, jo usually 100
Mbps se lekar 10 Gbps tak hota hai. LAN ke through interconnected devices ke beech
data
packets easily route hote hain. Yeh users ko files share karne, printers aur other
peripherals use karne, aur local servers access karne ki suvidha deta hai. LAN mein
commonly star,
bus, aur ring topologies use hoti hain, jahan star topology mein sab devices ek
central switch ya hub se connected hote hain, bus topology mein ek single backbone
cable se aur ring
topology mein devices ek closed loop mein connected hote hain. Ek office network ka
example le sakte hain, jahan sab computers, printers, aur other devices ek LAN se
connected hain.

Is se employees easily files share kar sakte hain aur network printers use kar
sakte hain. Ghar mein bhi aapke sab computers, smartphones, tablets, aur smart
devices ek Wi-Fi router
ke through ek LAN se connected hote hain, jisse aap asaani se ek dusre se
communicate kar sakte hain aur internet access kar sakte hain.

Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)

Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) ek city ya large campus jese area ko cover karta
hai. Yeh multiple LANs ko interconnect karta hai aur ek large geographic area ko
encompass karta hai.
MAN generally high-speed fiber optic cables, routers, switches, aur sometimes
wireless technology use karta hai. Yeh high-speed data transfer provide karta hai,
jo usually 10 Mbps se
lekar 10 Gbps tak hota hai. MAN ke through different LANs ke beech data packets
efficiently route hote hain. MAN users ko ek extended area mein seamless
communication aur resource sharing ki suvidha deta hai. Iske common topologies mein
ring, star, aur mesh topologies shamil hain. Ek university campus ka example le
sakte hain, jahan sab buildings (jaise administration, library, hostels,
classrooms) ek MAN se connected hote hain. Students aur staff har building mein ek
hi network resources access kar sakte hain aur high-speed internet use kar sakte
hain. Ek city network ka bhi example le sakte hain, jahan government offices,
public libraries, schools, aur hospitals ek MAN se connected hote hain, jo inko
high-speed data communication aur resource sharing provide karta hai.

Wide Area Network (WAN)

Wide Area Network (WAN) large geographic areas, jaise cities, countries, ya
continents ko cover karta hai. WAN multiple LANs aur MANs ko connect karta hai aur
worldwide communication
facilitate karta hai. WAN generally fiber optic cables, satellite links, microwave
links, routers, switches, aur other advanced networking technologies use karta hai.
Yeh long distances
pe high-speed data transfer provide karta hai, jo usually 56 Kbps se lekar 100 Gbps
tak hota hai. WAN data ko different networks ke beech efficiently route karta hai.
Yeh globally
dispersed networks ko connect karta hai aur users ko worldwide communication aur
resource sharing ki suvidha deta hai. WAN ke liye common topologies mein point-to-
point, hub-and-spoke,
aur mesh topologies shamil hain. Internet iska sabse bada example hai, jo duniya
bhar ke computers aur networks ko connect karta hai, jisse log worldwide
communication aur information
exchange kar sakte hain. Ek multinational company ke offices worldwide hain, aur
inko ek WAN se connect kiya jata hai, jisse employees ek dusre se communicate kar
sakein aur company
resources access kar sakein chahe woh kisi bhi country mein hon.

Personal Area Network (PAN)

Personal Area Network (PAN) ek chhota network hota hai jo individual devices ko ek
limited area mein connect karta hai, jaise ek room ya personal workspace. PAN
typically Bluetooth,
infrared, aur sometimes wired connections (USB) use karta hai. Yeh short distances
pe low-speed data transfer provide karta hai, jo usually 1 Mbps se lekar 24 Mbps
tak hota hai. PAN
ke through interconnected personal devices ke beech data packets route hote hain.
PAN personal devices ko asaani se connect karta hai aur users ko seamless data
exchange aur resource
sharing ki suvidha deta hai. PAN ke liye topologies simple hote hain, jaise point-
to-point connections, jahan devices directly ek dusre se connect hote hain bina
kisi complex
structure ke. Ek smartphone aur wireless headphones ka example le sakte hain, jo
Bluetooth ke through connected hote hain. Yeh ek PAN ka example hai jahan devices
personal use ke
liye connected hain. Ek laptop aur personal printer ke connection ka bhi example
le sakte hain, jahan user directly laptop se print commands de sakta hai bina kisi
complex network k
