the daily life of the village ?
Ans. The children used the dragon as a playground and
would climb all over the dragon,poking sticks at it and
hanging wet boots on its ears.The adults used it at times
to chop firewood on its zigzagged tail.

sneezed?

Ans. The enormous sneeze of the dragon caused the


ground to split.From the ground a spring appeared and
formed a lake.The town that was hot and dry and needed
water now had water.

Ans. The dragon disappeared into the cool dark water of


the lake.

Q4) How was ‘Water Dragon Day’ celebrated every year in


the village?

Ans. Every year they would bring garlands of flowers and


herbs and arrange them in a circle near the monument.
The children would have the day off, for it was known as
the ‘Water Dragon Day’. They would make and wear
dragon masks,skip,clap and sing the popular rhyme .
