Maximum temperature fell markedly in Kozhikode & Thrissur districts, fell appreciably in Alappuzha, Kannur,
Malappuram, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Palakkad & Thiruvananthapuram districts and no large change in it elsewhere over
Kerala during the past 24 hours. However it was markedly below normal in Kottayam district, appreciably below normal
in Alappuzha, Kannur, Malappuram, Ernakulam, Palakkad & Thrissur districts, below normal in Kozhikode & Kollam
districts, & Thiruvananthapuram districts and it remained normal elsewhere over Kerala. Punalur recorded the highest
maximum temperature of 31.5°C.
THUNDERSTORM WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by gusty winds, speed reaching 30-40
Kmph, is very likely to occur at one or two places in Kerala from 29 th May to 2nd June 2024. Thunderstorm with lightning
is very likely to occur at one or two places in Lakshadweep from 29th to 31st May 2024.
HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Heavy (7cm to 11cm in 24 hours) to very heavy (12cm to 20 cm in 24hours) rainfall is
likely to occur at isolated places in Kerala on 29 th and heavy (7cm to 11cm in 24 hours) rainfall from 30 th May to 2nd June
2024. Heavy (7cm to 11cm in 24 hours) rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Lakshadweep on 29 th May 2024.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the above sea areas during the mentioned period above.
