Учебник «Английский язык» является основным учебником для 4 класса школ с


русским языком обучения Кыргызской Республики и рассчитан на 2 учебных часа в
неделю.
Материал в учебнике организован в тематические блоки. Учебник помогает
заложить основы использования английского языка как средства общения, поэтому в
нем охватываются все четыре вида речевой деятельности (аудирование, говорение,
чтение и письмо). Особое внимание на данном этапе уделяется изучению лексики
и продолжению работы по обучению учащихся чтению, а также знакомству с
транскрипционными знаками.
Учебник создан на основе Предметного стандарта по иностранному языку,
принятому Министерством образования и науки Кыргызской Республики, и
Программы по английскому языку для школ с русским языком обучения (3 –9 классы),
разработанной Кыргызской Академией образования.
