• The Start-up % will be based on Sum Assured band at the policy effective date .
o For any increase in Sum Assured after the effective date (including the increase due to guaranteed
milestone bonus), the Start-up Bonus % will not be changed even if the band tier has changed.
o However, for any decrease in Sum Assured after the effective date, the Start-up Bonus % will follow
applicable band tier. The units corresponding to the difference in Start-up Bonus% from the higher to
the lower tier shall be deducted from the separate account.

• The policyowner may opt to continue paying the regular premiums even after the payment
period, up to the expiry date of the policy.
• Premiums under this feature will have no premium charge deducted, no additional sum assured
contribution, and will not require further underwriting. Note that this does not apply to regular
top-ups.
Eligibility conditions:
Premium 1.All premiums due must be paid before you can avail the premium extension feature. (In case of
Extension premium holiday or lapsation, all premiums must be paid on or before the payment of premium
extension and all due charges are deducted accordingly.
Notes :
• A separate billing letter will be sent to clients after policy status changes to “fully paid up” until the end of
the premium extension period.
• Premium extension may be availed non-continuously.
• Any premium paid that is not equivalent to the regular premium and is beyond the current PTD will be

2. Premiums made after the premium extension schedule above are not eligible for the premium bonus and

On the 10th policy anniversary and every 5th anniversary thereafter, additional units will be
purchased equivalent to 2% of Average Monthly Account Value (AMAV) over past 60 months. The
purchased units will be credited based on the policy’s current fund allocation at the date of bonus
awarding.

conditions are met:

2.Total withdrawals should be less than total ad-hoc top-ups made.
3.In the preceding calendar year (prior to LB crediting), the ending value of the Philippine Stock Exchange
Composite Index (PSEi) as of 31 December is lower than its value as of 01 January 5 years ago

For the first 3 years of the policy, if the Total Account Value is insufficient to cover the cost of
insurance charges and policy fees, a contract debt account will be created equivalent to the
cumulative unpaid insurance charges.

1. Policy has completed all due premiums within grace period (i.e. premium holiday will make the
Contract debt policy ineligible for contract debt).
2. No withdrawals have been made.
Notes:
• Any regular premium or regular top-up premium paid while contract debt > 0, units will be
deducted corresponding to the contract debt until it reaches 0.
• For the avoidance of doubt, contract debt will not be applicable if policy has missed a premium.
If the policy has missed a premium while on contract debt, the policy will already lapse.

Cost of units will be deducted from each fund in proportion to the account value of each fund to the total account value. The COI charge is based on
insurance insured’s attained age and net amount at risk at time of deduction:
Charge COI charge (t) = COI rate at attained age x * Net Amount at Risk (t)
Net Amount at Risk (t) = max(0, Sum Assured – Account Value)
Fund management charges are deducted from each of the funds on a portfolio level (i.e., not on a per policy level) according to the schedule
below. As of today, valuation of all peso funds are done on a daily basis.

2. Policy Transactions
▪ Policyholder may opt not to pay the premiums due at any time during the duration of the
payment period. However, the following charges shall continue to be deducted from his
account AV:
o Cost of insurance charge at monthly anniversary (subject to contract debt provision)
o Policy fee at monthly anniversary
o Premium holiday charge after grace period
***Note: If the account value becomes insufficient to pay for any of the charges above (after consideration
of the contract debt provision), then the policy lapses.

Holiday • While at premium holiday and as long as the account value is greater than zero, the policy is
still considered in-force and the insured is still covered.
• If any rider is attached, process will be based on the option selected by the policyholder at
issue:
Option 1: Rider coverage terminates, and any rider cash value is added into the base plan account value,
without any applicable charge (i.e., not treated as top-up)
Option 2: Withdraw rider premiums due from the base policy’s account value to pay for the rider
premiums, with corresponding withdrawal charge. If this option was chosen, but account value becomes
insufficient to pay for the rider premiums, then rider terminates.

• The policyholder must present sufficient evidence of insurability and should pay all missed premiums for the
policy to be reinstated back to premium-paying status. Upon payment of the reinstatement premium, all due
charges while the policy was on lapse status shall be deducted – premium holiday charge, policy fee, and
cost of insurance charge. The policy will only go back to premium-paying status if all missed premiums have

What are the charges in this product?
The charges for FWD Manifest are the following:
Premium charge – This works like a subscription charge and is deducted from
the premium before it gets invested in your chosen fund. It is charged in the
first year only for the 5-pay variant and until second policy year for 10-pay.
1. Questions Surrender charge – Should you make any withdrawals, the surrender charge
will be deducted from the total amount that you have withdrawn. It is imposed
for the first seven years of the policy.
2. Handling Objections Premium holiday charge – This charge will be deducted from your account
value if you miss paying your due premiums.
3. Application Submission
Policy fee – This charge will be deducted from your account
value to help maintain your policy.
Fund management charge – This charge will be used to cover the expenses
related to maintaining your investment. This is already incorporated in the
computation of your account value.
