This PDF Cheat Sheet is meant for Absolute Beginners who know zero
Russian. This guide will put you on the right track… plus teach you a bit
of Russian along the way!

Hello! (Здравствуйте! Zdravstvuyte!)

Have you tried to learn Russian in the past, only to become discouraged?

We’ve seen that happen too many times. That’s why we designed RussianPod101 to break down lessons
into the smallest, simplest steps possible. So, that you can finally grasp the language and start speaking,
no matter your age, background or language experience.

Keep reading. You’ll see how RussianPod101 gets you speaking Russian in just minutes…

… and you’ll discover some FREE tools and resources down below.

But, speaking of Russian… Russian in Russian is русский (russkiy). Русский is a good word (слово -
slovo) to know since you know… you are now learning it.

So, how do you get started with русский?

At RussianPod101, we get you speaking and understanding Russian with bite-sized conversational
lessons.

In fact, you have a ready-made pathway of lessons waiting for you on the RussianPod101 dashboard (your
homebase). Just click on “Go to lesson.”
How to learn: All you have to do is… press play on a lesson and sit back.

First, you’ll listen to a practical dialogue between native Russian speakers.

Then, our teachers will slow it down and explain all of the words, grammar rules and cultural nuances
presented.

In minutes, you’ll understand the entire conversation and all the words and grammar rules inside.

And, you’ll start speaking Russian that you’ve heard. So, if you heard a dialogue about catching up with a
friend, you will be able to do just that in Russian.

So, you will..

… listen (слышать - slyshat’)
… understand (понимать - ponimat’)
…and speak (говорить - govorit’) real Russian.

And you can also read (читать - chitat’) along and never miss a word with the Line-by-Line Dialogue and
FREE Lesson Transcripts inside each lesson.

When you’re done with lesson #1, we’ll guide you to lesson #2, then #3, and so on.

Learning is as simple as that.

Recap & To do now:

By the way, Приятно познакомиться (Priyatno poznakomit’sya)!

That means nice to meet you!

Now, since we have you (вы - vy) here… we want to know:

• What’s your name?

• Как вас зовут?
• Kak vas zovut?

To reply to that and introduce yourself, you (вы - vy) would say…

• I’m (name).
• Меня зовут...
• Menya zovut...

Oh, “ya” is a new word (слово - slovo).

“Ya” (Я) is how you say “I” in русский.

So, just stick your name in there.

By the way, in case you didn’t notice…

Now you know a whole bunch of слово and phrases.

1. Здравствуйте - Zdravstvuyte - Hello

2. русский - russkiy - Russian
3. слышать - slyshat’ - to listen
4. говорить - govorit’ - to speak
5. понимать - ponimat’ - to understand
6. читать - chitat’ - to read
