TOPIC: What are the advantages and disadvantages of leaving your country
to live or study abroad?
Along with improvements of transportation, studying abroad and overseas
settlement has become a popular trend of 21st century. This tendency brings out
remarkable advantages as well as numerous drawbacks to be discussed about in
this essay.
Settling down in another country is a captivating choice since it provides each
person higher living- standards. For instance, adult immigrants in developed
countries often experience more effecient treatment from modern medical supply.
The same goes with studying in a foreign school, where students from developing
and undeveloped countries have more chances to approach novel curriculum’s
diversity and specialized knowledge. This would surely boost their ability in each
fields and provides future job markets the most competent candidates.
However, there is a remarkable barrier to immigrants and abroad students:
language. To master a language is costly in both time and money aspects, yet it is
the first requirements to settle down in a brand new places. For instance, when
there is an emmergency cases such as terrorist in a public construction, the only
way to get out of it is listening and following the instructions of the officers, which
is often sent in the national language. Moreover, due to misbalance in money value
between countries; immigrants, especially the students from inferior countries,
might struggle with their work-life balance to make ends meet.
In conclusion, while living and studying abroad might be a golden oppoturnity for
self-improvements due to its modern supplies and advanced education, it can also
be a big challenge with multiple handicaps such as economical difference and
language.
