LIVING

WATER
SUNDAY
MEETING
AT THE
WELL

Jesus offers us spiritual sustenance that can

satisfy our deepest longings and heal our
deepest wounds.
JOHN 4:4-10
Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town
in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had
given to his son Joseph.
Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the
journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said
to her, 'Will you give me a drink?' (His disciples had gone
into the town to buy food.)
The Samaritan woman said to him, 'You are a Jew and I am
a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?' (For
Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
JOHN 4:4-10
Jesus answered her, 'If you knew the gift of God and who it
is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and
he would have given you living water.
Jesus' offer of living water is a
spiritual and transformative gift that
fills the void within us and satisfies
our spiritual thirst.
FILLING
THE VOID

Jesus fills the void within us and satisfies This reminds us that we are called to be
our spiritual thirst by offering us a a community that brings life and hope to
relationship that is life-giving and those around us, and to extend radical
transformative. hospitality to all people, just as Jesus did
with the Samaritan woman.
MADE
NEW
Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are made
new creations, and our old ways of living
are washed away.

This transformation is made possible by

God's grace and love.

As new creations in Christ, we are called to

live differently and to be ambassadors of
reconciliation, sharing the good news of
Jesus' transformative love with others.
RADICAL
HOSPITALITY
Jesus identifies himself with the hungry,
thirsty, stranger, naked, sick, and
imprisoned, and says that how we treat
them is how we treat him.

Jesus calls his followers to extend radical

hospitality to those in need, showing them
love and compassion as if they were Jesus
himself.
We are called to be a
community that refreshes
and restores others.
Our faith is not just about personal piety...

but about how we live out our love for God and
our neighbour in concrete actions of service
and compassion.
