QUICK SETUP NOTES FOR PC1565 V2.3
Start programming with the panel disarmed, then you enter *8 5555 where 5555 is the installers
code: 5555 is the default.
Note: You should note that the 1565 never automatically steps from one location to the next, after entering all the data for one location you enter the number of the next
location you wish to program.

Notes for Residential Dial Mode:


1. Refer to the manual for detailed notes on operation in Residential Dial mode.
2. Mobile phones are unreliable for security use and so can’t be recommended.
3. When pressing 7, 8, *, 0 or #, press one key only for a good second.
4. The called phone MUST send tones for as long as the buttons are pressed.
5. With a mobile phone, make sure it sends continuous tone over the network.
6. ALL EVENTS for which you enter an active reporting code are transmitted.
7. Only 1 call is made for all reportable events active when the call is started- later reportable events will cause further calls.
8. When the panel calls, it beeps every 2 seconds - after you press the key it makes a siren noise for 20 seconds and then
hangs up.
9. If trouble 4 occurs (comms fail), use System Test (*6 Master Code 4) to clear it.

When you are insetting the data which uses a [*] at the start and end of an entry, the program will annunciate that the
information has been correctly entered before you enter the second [*]. You must still enter the second [*].
