Strict adherence to this method statement is critical to the health and safety of all engaged in the
work. Any deviation must first be authorized by the Site Engineer.

Planned Task/Active Description:

ZONE CONTROL VALVE OPENING

Location and Access:

YUN XI LOU , LGM 004-TDM.

Working environment & restrictions:

Commercial building, restricted access to work area for non-construction employees.

Emergency Procedures:

Normal evacuation procedure applies.

Operatives/ Competence:

FF technicians, supervisor.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Safety requirements tools such as safety shoes, safety helmet, safety glasses, fluorescent vest,
and safety gloves to ensure maximum ability of safe work and dust mask when required.

Plant & Equipment:

General Tools.

Materials Handling/ Storage & Safety Information:

All materials transported to work area by vehicles.

Work Sequence/ Procedure

- Complete installation of sprinklers as per approved drawings


- The installation and pressure testing of the pipes are completed.
- The installations of zone control valves, main line isolation valve and other accessories
are completed.
- Interfacing connection to zone control valve and main FACP is completed.
- Termination of zone control valves and main fire alarm panel is completed.
- Confirm that alarm check valve and all accessories are ready.
- Coordinate with facility management team for valve positioning confirmation.
- Gradually open the main gate valve
- Check visually for any leaks for a period of 30mins.
- After confirming there is no leakage open the valve gradually to full position
- Verify the valve position from the BMS room.
